Banton is ranked 99th nationally now in Class of 2018, was 93rd in Class of 2019....Almost guarantee under Stansbury WKU signs at least 1 guy ranked top 100 nationally....However Stans gave our new assistant coach Marc Hsu credit for getting this kid, guessing Stans just closed the deal....

At some point Stansbury is going to need to address that Western only has 2 inside players again for next season....

unless he's going to put 4 guards and a big on the floor. Sometimes making the other team play your game works.

The only thing that concerns me with Banton, he's from Rexdale, Toronto...I hope all of his credits transfers. Which isn't the same problems as going to high school not in North America. But sometimes they don't.

I wish we would go 4guards all the time. majors have a hard enough job getting quality guys that are 6’8” plus. Its a lot easier to get quality guards. The length we are getting from the perimeter makes it a lot easier to play defense without multiple big men.

Wasn’t your top recruit ineligible this year? Hmm.

We will stall have 2 scholarships open for next season at this moment. So he very well may go after more big guys in the spring semester. This is also assuming both Anderson and Diagne are eventually cleared and Bearden stays for his senior season. If any leave that will open up more available scholarships that could be spent on post depth.

And Banton has enough credit hours to be able to reclassify to 2018 which suggest he is a bright kid similar to Marek Nelson and he is also now playing at a high school in Massachusetts for his now senior season of high school.

RUSTON – With only one senior on the Louisiana Tech men’s basketball roster, head coach Eric Konkol and the coaching staff had only one a scholarship available which they used to ink forward Stacey Thomas to a National Letter of Intent in the early signing period.

Thomas is a 6-foot-8-inch, 210-pound forward out of Houston, Texas. The multi-sport athlete is currently averaging 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game this season for Fortbend Christian Home School.

Pearson signed last week and the other two are expected to sign before the fall signing period is over.

-Boyce is the headline of the class. He's a 6'5" guard/forward that's super athletic and does a little bit of everything. Had offers from Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Iowa St, Memphis, Miss St, Ole Miss, SMU, Maryland, Wake Forest, and Villanova.

-Pearson is a 6'9" forward who had offers from Illinois, Oklahoma St, and Washington St. He's a face up player who's rated top 10 in the state of Illinois

-Akabueze is a 6'8" PF that will be Chris Cokely's replacement in the paint.

WKU leapfrogged everyone to take over the #1 for CUSA so far. In the 40's

That is also because we have signed the most. Other teams have a higher quality rating.

Soon as 247 ads our latest we'll jump to #3. This is the best looking 2 years of recruiting we've seen in a long time.

I live in Fort Bend County, Texas, which is just outside of Houston (Harris County), and am a middle school teacher with Fort Bend Independent School District, and I'm not familiar with "Fortbend Christian Home School".

I thought that maybe he's affiliated with Fort Bend Christian Academy, and that perhaps he's home-schooled through there, but I don't see a face on the Fort Bend Christian Academy basketball picture that resembles him either.

Any more info on him?
