The best chance will be for you guys to have a great regular season and lose the conference championship game. Your schedule is set-up to at least give you a chance at an at large.

We both know that's not going to happen.

I’m thinking that UNT is going to surprise some people this year. Probably won’t be in top 5, but don’t be surprised if we finish 6th or 7th.

UTEP has looked really good against inferior competition. Last night UTEP held Louisiana College scoreless for almost the first 14 minutes of the game. UTEP appears to be quicker and is definitely a better shooting team then they have been in a long time. We will find out soon as UTEP will play Boise St. in Puerto Rico Shootout that has been relocated to Myrtle Beach.

I have and still believe this CUSA can be a consistent 2-bid league.

Not until the bottom half of the league quits killing the RPI. You win on the road in a conference game and your RPI drops like a rock just because of who you played. They are conference games, so there is no option to schedule smarter.

The tournament starts this Thursday, November 16th. UTEP's first game is against Boise State at 2:00 p.m. They will face either South Carolina or Illinois St. The teams in the bottom half of the bracket are: Iowa St., Appalachian St., Tulsa, and Western Michigan.

UTSA has looked good so far, but my fear was confirmed. Our promising freshman forward is out for the season. We lost one of our top scorers last year in the first week of the season, and now we lost one of our best freshmen to start this season. A-Rod looked solid in the 3 games he appeared for us (nice hook shot, good rebounder, good inside passer for a big man, and even a nice touch at the free-throw line). I still think we'll be a tough team to beat this season though.
