Roger Goodell ‘Furious’ At Jerry Jones’ Plans For His Contract
No way this clown is worth what he makes. He is overseeing a loss of fans, ratings and perception of the NFL. He has turned the NFL into a tool for SJW's.
Quote:If Jerry Jones can’t overthrow Roger Goodell, he wants to make him bleed for his money.
The Cowboys owner is part of a group of NFL owners who want Goodell’s next deal to be incentive-laden, making his compensation more performance-based than a flat, guaranteed figure, ESPN reported, a development that someone close to Goodell has made him “furious.”
“He feels as if the owners have made a lot of money and he should be compensated accordingly,” the source told ESPN. “The incentives thing really angers him.”
Goodell has made more than $200 million since he was elected commissioner in 2006 as part of “the most one-sided deal ever,” Jones told fellow owners last month. The owners very much enjoy their deal with the players, who do not have guaranteed contracts, and would like to ensure Goodell earns his money, too.
This is Plan B for Jones, who is on the warpath to oust Goodell from his role. Jones, who most recently hired Harvey Weinstein lawyer David Boies to aid his case against Goodell, has been lobbying his fellow billionaires for months about Goodell’s upcoming contract — which, for months, has seemed an inevitability but is still not finalized. With Boies’ help, Jones is trying to persuade the other owners toward his side; Jones needs 24 owners to approve of Goodell’s firing.

The moment he told Dallas you can't honor fallen LEOs but allowed players to kneel because they felt that LEOs were killing innocents, he made a statement. Only when he saw money leave the market did he try to right the ship. What's the saying I see around here, play stupid games win stupid prizes.

C'mon Goodell, make those rules that will make me proud of the Nfl again. So far nothing. I'm still torn on my 'boys. My friends tell me I should watch them because they don't kneel. What do you guy say? Decisions, decisions.

He's also responsible for the jaugernaut it's become. But he's failed to lead on the protests and the LA relocations

The NFL’s decline has been a long time coming.
Few tears will be shed when the paradigm of greed and corruption shifts.

Rozelle and Tags had more to do with making it a jaugernaut than Goodell. All he had to do is drive the car straight, he is failing.

What? It was a juggernaut long before 2006... Paul Tagliabue did all the leg work on getting it to the top of the mountain. Goodell basically let the league run itself for a few years and then when he started to take an active hand things started going down.

Pete Rozelle and Paul Tagliabue are responsible for the juggernaut. Goodell has just tried to keep steering along the course they set--poorly IMO.
Jerry Jones v Goodell--is there any way they can both lose? The NFL has become almost unwatchable to me, and they both had very large hands in making it so.

I heard that fewer players took a knee today, claiming they were honoring veterans. That's good, but not good enough. Why can't they stand like decent Americans every week?
I've been NFL free for some time now, and still believe it was a great choice.
As for Jerry Jones, he should have done more sooner.

Jerry Jones might take the Cowboys and formed a new Pro football league that would force all players to stand for the anthem. Goodall is such very weak to the players union.

Now would be the time for some enterprising rich people to start a new league. With the current mess NFL is in the timing now is good.

I simply can't comprehend the level of greed it takes to make 200 million and then be "furious" because you are expected to earn the next 200 million.
I know most people would sell their soul to be rich, but its looks and sounds like an incredibly destructive path to me.

All Pro Sports has been a huge money grab for many years now. Free agency hasn't helped. There are only really a small amount of high paid stars that truely are loyal to the Team and City They represent. Owners are just as much to blame too by not believing in many players that just need to play more to improve Their skills

Two hundred million dollars.
And all any one can talk about are protests and the latest leapfrog touchdown celebration.
