I'd rather they not lose to Lamar though ...

If Tulsa won by double digits today we’d hear for the next 2 months about how Tulsa is going to challenge for the conference championship so I look at it as a small sacrifice towards the greater good.
I'd rather put up with an idiot on a message board and have my team get a 2 seed than put up with an idiot on a message board slightly less and have my team get a 6 seed.
Tulsa sucking does not drop us 4 seed lines. And this just means Tulsa isn’t top 100, which sane people knew to be the case already.

This ... exactly what i was saying. I'd be extremely happy if I had to put up with a bunch of over zealous fans while every AAC team went undefeated in non-con.

I'll deal with that any day of the week.

I was hoping to be surprised and think they might end up being Top 100

Lol whatever, a double digit win wouldn't have us claiming we were anything other than what most of us claimed, 5-10. I mean they're not the mighty fighting wombats of umkc. So a weak victory wouldn't have us claiming a final four the team based on a nothing burgee.

This loss is bad, it shouldn't drop any one seed lines unless you plan on losing to us and we all know the world beater wsu isn't doing that.

It's the first game against a team expected to compete for its conference championship, I think it puts us outside the top 60. Probably outside the top 75 but I wouldn't say top 100 yet. However if we can't figure out how to rebound it will only get worse.

We will see, Monday a victory will be required, but won't set minds at ease. A loss will have outlooks turning really negative.

We don't block out and made some bad decisions, both are corrective through coaching.

We also shot poorly missing lay-ups and shots at critical times including free throws. We as a small team can't have 3 areas of the game lacking and expect to win.

The small size of our front line is why I thought we were still a year away. We should be better than what we showed yesterday. Definitely not good.

Good luck to Tulsa, we need you guys to at least be decent in the conference, we have enough bottom dwellers including my school.

lol, nice.

I think it's more of a pick-em with the recent announcements about Bama's roster. Picking up this W would be a great way for the league to get underway.

Yep. I think we can win this now. Vegas nor anybody else has any clue how good or bad we are. So I would discount that spread a bit. Our fans were down on us until the exhibition game. Then they saw a little hope. We'll see. Can't wait to tip off and see what we have.

The spread has moved to -6 ... so money is being put on Memphis.

And they all lost their money, lol.

I hope Tulsa gets it figured out. They, like most can be very dangerous if they get hot from three and if on the road. This is a bad loss but any of us could be humbled. Go AAC.

I feel like the entire league is getting better, if we about this aren't careful will get left behind.

USF has got a new coach and I think they'll be on their way up, Tulane definitely has the type of coach who can get them going. Memphis will get it back on track with tubby or somebody else, Temple and UConn should be improving. All of those are bad signs for Tulsa unless we get it together.

It wasn't a perfect start to our out-of-conference season, but most of the AAC teams took care of business. Tulsa is got to pull their own weight and losing to Lamar is a bad way of starting that.

I hope not any, I really expect Wichita State and Cincinnati to be dominant, and UCF and SMU to avoid major upsets. After that it gets a little more shady, but I think everybody should come in with a winning out of conference record.
