Minneapolis elected it's first SOCIALIST city council member. I sincerely hope that is not the future.

Cincinnati came close to adding one yesterday. After an airheaded, unqualified, complete joke of a city council woman beat the successful sitting democrat mayor by 11 points in the jungle primary the electorate figured out that the only real qualification she had was her skin color and that she peed sitting down. She ended up losing handily in the vote that mattered yesterday.

Hopefully she goes and gets a real job and stays off the public dime.

The really important news was that a black Republican who was a complete unknown came out of nowhere to narrowly win a seat on Cincinnati City Council. There is hope after all.

Most of those people look rather old to be "the future". More to the point of the image, there is nothing futuristic about it - that what American politics looks like right now. The 114th and 115th Congresses both set records for the most racial and ethnically diverse. Huffpo didn't praise them since most of the new members were Republican.

This is nothing more than the continuation of identity politics by the party without a message.

A group of Black quadruplets, dressed in the same cloths, singing the same song would be "diverse"

So you never see white males? No Asians? No Hispanics? Overwhelmingly female? You must be a teacher. Asians and Hispanics are the fastest growing ethnic groups. Blacks have been at roughly 12% or so of the population for decades.

Yvette is a real Progressive. Her attempted shakedown of Childrens Hospital was her undoing. Soliciting cash for a zoning change has to be illegal, yes? Cranly is doing a good job. We have some Democrats like him in the past, Luken, Mann, Portune, never had a problem voting for them.

The head of diversity for Apple (ridiculous that it is even a paid position) had to APOLOGIZE for saying the following at a diversity conference:

"I focus on everyone. Diversity is the human experience. I get a little bit frustrated when diversity or the term diversity is tagged to the people of color or the women or the LGBT or whatever because that means they’re carrying that around…because that means that we are carrying that around on our foreheads.

And I’ve often told people a story– there can be 12 white blue-eyed blonde men in a room and they are going to be diverse too because they’re going to bring a different life experience and life perspective to the conversation. The issue is representation and mix and bringing all the voices into the room that can contribute to the outcome of any situation. So I focus on everyone, but I also focus on allies and alliances because to DeRay’s point, there’s an incredible amount of power in those who have platforms or those who have the benefit of greater representation to tell the stories of those who do not. So whenever we can accomplish that, then that is a win for everyone. And I think that is something that people, that we all tend to… particularly those who protest things that we are fearful about, we can all win in this story, and so that’s what I try to focus on at Apple."

She was eaten alive for those comments.

Of course I see White Males and Asians and Hispanics. I never said every single race and culture of America was represented here. I'm simply saying that the diversity in that crowd is more or less what we see everyday rather than our current Congress.

Don't you think our Congress should be as diverse as our country?
