Jump over to the recruiting forum and you'll see the article pretty much through teach and every thread.
I think people roll their eyes at Geoff because he writes this as if he's been an impartial, neutral reporter during this dialog. However, anyone paying attention knows that he's been one of the ringleaders in keeping the "Smith critics" stirred up all offseason.
I will say this...GC has shown signs of walking back his attacks lately. What I can't decide is whether he's having second thoughts on some things, or he's trying to get back to a position where he can flip either way.
He isn't scaling back or hedging; he is accurately reporting the 90% bad, 10% good ratio. 90% of the truth has been bad, the UNC scrimmage, the Vanover commit and encouraging news on the recruiting front are good things. I'm sure if we lose two games by a combined 71 points you will accuse him of going back on the attack again.
What are you talking about? He hasn't been "reporting". He has been on the radio taking shots. Now he's backed off taking the shots - there is a noticeable difference. He also recently said "those coaches who voted Memphis 9th" are going to be wrong. Notice that he pointed the finger at others, when he's been saying the same things. That is walking back.
