At least we now have a coach who isn’t an embarrassment to the university. Pastner was a complete idiot from Day 1 with all his stupid sayings etc. His post game interviews were horrible.

Tubby is a good coach with a great reputation. Win, lose, or draw Tubby Smith is basketball class.

I don't believe the posters who claim he is mailing it in, collecting a paycheck until retirement. He may be, but it seems more reasonable to me that some people are negative loud-mouth malcontents than a person who has spent his life in competitive sports would simply stop trying.

I haven't seen an interview in a while, but the last ones I recall, he didn't seem like a blithering idiot, which is way more than I can say for any of Joshie's.

He's got some things going for him and I think he'll win there, our job was just a very bad fit.

Thinking Pastner is a good guy / coach while being glad he's not here anymore are not mutually exclusive...
