Troy has too much a winning tradition to stay down too long... if we go after the guy who I believe will be high on our list we will continue to improve when NB leaves.

We redshirted our possible QB starter and Henderson is likely the RB next year. Only losing a couple receivers to graduation. Lose a few pieces on the defense, but these youngsters are doing ok.

The cupboard won't be bare if he leaves...

Every college program falls on it's ass, the only ones who don't are the ones that already fell and haven't gotten up.

You really have to look at overall program, not where football or basketball is today. When some people bellyached about App and GaSo my argument was, they have long history of doing it right and selling tickets, if they hit a rough patch they'll come out of it.

I've been for NMSU all along, maybe we will find a good 12th school and bring NMSU back at that time.

NMSU has gone through some tough periods especially due to budget issues and APR issues. I am not saying that our program will pull a Troy, but I think competition will be better in the future. We are getting good recruits for next season.

Historically, NMSU football has been better when playing schools to its east than schools to the west. (see Mo Valley records, first Sun Belt, then look at Big West and WAC).

As an independent, I think NMSU should keep that in mind in scheduling.
