I will not be sitting on cold aluminum. I will be standing and moving around a bit to keep the blood flowing.

Yeah, you guys are better fans than I am.
It would be different if they really had a chance to win the conference OR the game was going to be remotely competitive. But the weeknight game with nothing on the line and the cold? I'll pass.

Correction...Steinbrecher's contract is done in 19-20....that's not too far away.

Me too.
If the temps are going to be that cold I'll just play it by ear and see how long I last. But I waited for many months to go to some football games and since there are only 6 home games, I am at least going to show up and cheer on the team until I get hypothermia.
And yes, most of my screws are loose.

I will be there. However, I will probably just get my ticket scanned, grab pizza, and tuck my tail between my legs as I weasel to Chessick.

RE: 31 point line v. BSU
No BSU prediction thread?
I say NIU: 48, BSU: 13.
With all the QB injuries BSU has a very bad passing game. Their rushing O is pretty good, but that is our D strength. I would not be surprised to see BSU with a goose egg at halftime and only score on the 2s and 3s in the 2nd half. BSU has given up a boat load of points; so even with our conservative O I see us scoring 28-35 in the 1st half.
Childers plays the 1st half and a series or two the second half. After that Santa, Thompson and Graham in that order. I don't necessarily think Thompson is better than Graham, but with Graham being out so long and only practicing for about a week I see him in for a couple of hand-offs to wrap the game up. I would like to see Santa and Thompson with the whole play book. We know Santa's strengths and weaknesses, but let's see what Thompson has got.
Kudos to those going to the game. With it being that cold my knee would be much worse than usual for about a week. It is not impossible for me to go to these cold weather games; it just is not worth the price.
GO HUSKIES!!!!

This BSU team has real issues...in MAC play they have been outscored 256-46; that is an average score of 51-9; I can’t recall a greater point differential. That is staggering.

Glad to know that this is one game our win probability is 99%.
Should have 7 wins with 2 big games ahead.

That game was like a smoke break. BSU got smoked, but now it is time for the Huskies to get back to work.

I don't remember what year that was or who we played, I just remember it was the first time we ever left a game early.
As a student on sitting on the west side, north of the north 20 yard line and the concrete was ice covered, but at least the bleachers were wood, so that helped.

of particular humor to me... as hardly a football season passes without my son - who also graduated from niu - sez dekalb is the coldest place on the planet ....he attended during mid 1990's when we had a few extra brutal winters.....I recall a game vrs arkansas state- I think- when the band was not able to perform very long at halftime because lips froze to instruments

Is the MAC allowed to front-load its bigger games or does ESPN also have control of when you can schedule certain teams. I know from a coaching perspective you don't want to have your big tests so early in the year, but is there any possibility there are some sneaky work arounds to avoid this conference from completely going into extinction from the ESPN deal. The rivalry games need to be on Saturdays at least. You don't start giving a little nugget back to the fans, this thing will be over completely. The problem is, I don't think MAC front office or many MAC ADs even care
