Probably be about 70 30 in favor of USF in the stands I would imagine. At best 60-40

You think? Wouldn't that be another home game for y'all? Wouldn't FAU fans outnumber the USF fans by a wide margin.

USF is ranked and been around longer. FAU is new to this thing. Just a hunch and I would hope I was wrong.

USF, as bad as their attendance has been, draw more fans in general than FAU. For one, they are the only FBS program in the Tampa Bay metro area, unlike FAU which has to fight for fans in the South Florida metro area with FIU and UM. It also helps that they are ranked, have been established a little longer as a university and in FBS, are in the AAC, and were formerly in the Big East when it was a BCS conference. They have alot of alumni in South Florida metro that would attend in addition to those that would come down from the rest of the state for a bowl game.

New Orleans - La Tech vs Arkansas St

New Mexico - UTSA vs Colorado St
Boca Raton - FAU vs USF
Bad Boy Mowers - FIU vs SMU
Bahamas - UAB vs Ohio
Armed Forces - UNT vs Army
Independence - MTSU vs Georgia Tech
Quick Lane - WKU vs Eastern Michigan
Belk - Marshall vs Louisville

No Way Marshall gets Belk bowl, I think they'd take a PAC12 team first.

Rutgers (4-5) at #7 Penn St (7-2) -- Rutgers ends season with Indiana and #24 Michigan State so a loss here would put them having to win out

Arkansas (4-5) at #19 LSU (6-3) -- Arkansas finishes with #16 Miss St and Mizzou so a loss here puts them having to win out

Duke (4-5) at Army (7-2) -- Duke has lost 5 straight and finishes with Georgia Tech (4-4) and Wake Forest (5-4). A loss here and they would have to win out

Florida (3-5) at South Carolina (6-2) -- UF only plays 11 games unless they add one on due to the cancellation earlier in the season from Irma. They finish with UAB and Florida St so a loss here could end their post season hopes

Georgia Tech (4-4) hosts #13 Va Tech (7-2) -- GT only plays 11 as well and they finish with Duke and #1 Georgia so a loss here could end their post season as well

Florida St (3-5) at #4 Clemson (8-1) -- FSU only plays 11 but they are working on making up their cancelled game with UL Monroe. If it doesnt happen a loss here would end their post season hopes

The SEC has 4 eligible teams (Ole Miss is ineligible) that are 4-5 so those outcomes could go a long way in CUSA and other G5 conferences to get extra berths:
Arkansas -- @LSU, Ms State, Missouri
Missouri - Tenn, @Vandy, @Arkansas
Tennessee - @Missouri, LSU, Vandy
Vandy - Kentucky, Missouri, @Tennessee

there's still a bit more but this is just a starter set of games that could benefit some of our bowl eligible teams

Penn St up 21-6 over Rutgers late in 3Q
LSU leads Arkansas 19-10 late in 3Q
Army leads Duke 21-10 late in 3Q
South Carolina leads Florida 21-13 early in 3Q
Va Tech trails 21-9 early in 3Q
Clemson vs FSU later today

Not a bad start. CUSA still needs its teams (WKU, MT, USM, UTSA, LT and possibly ODU) to get bowl eligible first joining FAU, UNT, FIU, Marshall and UAB

Looks like UCF has pretty bad attendance too. Under 30K yesterday.

That's an excuse. I guess Marshall is new to CUSA. I mean we've been here less than you have been a program. Lets say what it really is: Those that go to FAU could really care less if you have athletics or not. Most of your students and alumni likely roots for Miami, Florida and Florida State and they are at those games instead of in Boca Raton on game day.

Around longer, so 4 years is really that much longer. USF started football in 1997, FAU 2001 01-wingedeagle01-wingedeagle.

The dynamics were a bit different for the USF, a larger school that lay a claim to the South Floridian and Central Floridian piece of recruitment pie 4 years before the Owls and 5 years before the Golden Panthers.

Additionally, they came of age at exactly the right time to coincide with the conference realignment explosion.
