RE: B-ball Exhibition Games?
yeah, i feel like Hill will need a little time to adjust to playing forward after being a HS center. He has the physically tools to play now but may need to develop his game more. Plus, even if Hill does get more ready you got Willie Jackson coming eligible and taking minutes at that forward slot.

Alderson is probably gonna play more than people think because he is physically ready, can defend and seems like he isn't trying to do too much too early on offense. Both he and Rose will play a lot early and whoever is better will continue to be a key guy, but the other will lose a few minutes in certain rotations once W Jackson plays.

As always this time of year, hope springs eternal. I hope the optimists are right for a change. Fletcher averaged 7 and 2 his junior year. TWO rebounds. It’s a long way from that to player of the year but I hope he makes it. I can’t help but remember the prediction here a few years ago that Majerle would be first team all MAC, so, if there is such a thing, I’m a cynical optimist, the optimism based mostly on a guy who should know telling me that the talent level is very high. That would be great, cause, in my view the fact that we’re better than eight years ago and we do things the right way doesn’t overcome the fact that we’ve been mediocre and fold in March laely.

Hill and Weatherspoon's game are similar coming out of HS. Weatherspoon was more explosive, but neither had much of a game facing the basket. Willie will be counted on to do a lot of "dirty work" this year with Fletcher here. If Fletcher can be a consistent scorer with Sanford, and the other plays accept and play their role we may surprise some teams. Alderson was a good shooter in HS too.

Apparently, as with so many fashion trends, Toledo is just catching up. About five players had varying degrees and precision of this look. Thanks for the link-Missouri? Huh!

Thought I'd be snarky and post a photo 1940s women playing in skirts but nope. Shorts that would make Bird and Magic blush. Did find this from an even ealier era. Now THESE would be cool retro.

Wow, a photo from the last time we made the ncaa tourney.

Would have been a better joke if she was a man. A sad joke, but better.

who was calling nephew marjerle a 1st Team All MAC? Can you source that?

Hill can really hop so that's exciting but as for calling Fletcher All-MAC we'll see. everyone thinks highly of him. he was a great HS player and big recruit at Colorado. He was kinda stuck in a talented perimeter rotation there. He was very productive at times but never had the space to come into his own. like steve taylor he came to UT and took a year to develop himself as more of a go to player. Is he good enough to maybe be All-MAC, sure, will he lead this team to a great season, who knows yet?

st joe's and oakland off the bat will set the bar pretty good. crucial to win one of those games but a loss in either wouldn't be a surprise.
