Question for FAU and FIU fans
Since it looks like one of you will represent the East, and also more than likely win this conference, I wanted to ask your fan bases...
The league champ gets to pick its Bowl. Considering so many of our bowls are in Florida, would you still expect or want your team to pick a Florida bowl?

RE: Question for FAU and FIU fans
For example, let's say FAU or FIU wins CUSA and picks the Armed Forces Bowl, the West champ picks Boca..
Would either of you choose or want the Gasparilla? (St. Pete?)
I'm looking at this through the lens of hope for Marshall...But I'm also curious to see if you all would want to travel, or take the good attendance?

RE: Question for FAU and FIU fans
Let me edit this to note I still doubt FIU wins the East, but if they do:
I can't say with any certainty, but I would imagine something close is best. The last bowl game FIU played in was in St. Pete against Marshall. So I'm guessing either St. Pete or Boca, with the possibility of the Bahamas bowl also.

RE: Question for FAU and FIU fans
It looks like the winner of the East will most likely host the championship game. I'm not sure how FIU is doing with their attendance but FAU had maybe 5,000 people in the stands for their homecoming game against us. Hopefully they would get more bodies in the stands for a championship game.

Official attendance for last night's Mashall game was 15880. So, I would say, attendance is growing, as you would expect for a team that is doing reasonably well.

I think a Florida bowl would be great for attendance, but the New Orleans bowl would be my personal pick.

RE: Question for FAU and FIU fans
I would wait until we actually become Bowl eligible to make any such plans, let alone competing for the CUSA East championship. We have the best defensive CUSA team, statistically, tonight at home in UTSA, and then ODU, FAU, and WKU. A very tough schedule ahead of us.
But we are certainly excited with the prospects for the future our program is showing under the direction of Butch Davis.
Go Panthers.
P.S. In the event we do become Bowl eligible, I guess any Bowl in Florida would good with me. Go Panthers!

No to Boca Bowl. Don’t want our drought to end with a Tuesday night game with a Mac team.
St. Pete Is what I want. Also the game is during winter break and many many FAU students live in Tampa and Orlando so even those home for winter break could come.

Independence Bowl is a possibility if SEC doesnt have enough bowl eligible teams.
