Yeah,I think our defense has a a bright future ahead...a defensive lapse here and there will be common with these guys since they are so young..good thing we get turnovers a lot which makes up for a lot of mistakes.

Going against ucf again possibly makes me wish we had our whole team intact...I think we would beat them the second time around but with what we have it will be hard but I think the game will be closer next time around.

Outstanding effort by the defense. They were aggressive from the jump and are getting better by the week. They're not all the way "there" yet but you can see they're well on their way to getting to where opposing offenses are not going to be eager to take them on.

Defense played a great game. Getting better each game. Having a legit man/man corner as a freshman is incredible.

Chad President's 7-yard touchdown run for Tulsa tied it at 14 just 2:20 into the second quarter, but the Tigers (8-1, 5-1, No. 23 CFP) surrendered just 69 yards of total offense — 32 rushing — over the entire second half.”

I guess that the 69 is different from what the drives totaled because the drives listings did not factor in yardage lost on penalties. IE: A couple drives showed negative yard because the series ended up 1 yard back from where it started, after a penalty cause the offense to be pushed back and they only made it back to 1 yard from where the drive started. Even though the plays actually netted yardage for the individual players. But still 69 us a good result for the defense.

Should it work out, do y'all think we're ready (mostly the defense) to hang with the potential opponent we'd get in the Peach Bowl ? I'm a bit concerned it could be ... well, um, a bit too much to ask.

Legitimate concern and a gr8 question...The bye week couldn't come @ a better time for our defense...IMO. Being without our vets has caused our staff and players to rise to a whole new level of making adjustments and cre8ing combinations....The crescendos that our young players have made have been pretty remarkable to say the least...Can we hang with a Top Tier P5???

I don't want to get all giddy about our matchup possibilities albeit intriguing to say the least... I'm VERY confident the our team will continue to battle, no matter the circumstances and for some strange reason, I feel that this team is READY for a BIG challenge...however, I would like to see our running game improve a bit and I feel that the bye week is going to propel this team to new heights and primed for P5 challenge!

Key is to get there and to earn a big paycheck for our conference. Would be nice to win but unfortunately the main thing is the money.

College sports is a business and it should be about the student-athletes

In a one-game instance, anything can happen.
