AAC Bowl 2017
I know our bowl line up stinks and we wont be able to improve on them until 2020 season, so here they are:

ACCESS Bowl- should fall our way
Military vs ACC
Bham vs SEC
Hawaii vs MWC
St Pete vs CUSA
Boca Raton vs CUSA
Frisco- open
Cure vs SBC

So far: UCF, USF, Memphis and SMU are all bowl eligible
Navy, Houston should get bowl eligible
Temple and Tulane- one should make it
That's 7-8 teams

so
ACCESS, Bham or Military are obviously best three- UCF, Memphis, USF
Hawaii- St Pete- Boca Raton - SMU,Navy, Houston
Frisco- Cure- Temple,Tulane

I know Navy was a good bet for Military Bowl but after lat night's loss I dont see how they can jump the top three for that bowl unless one of them loses a couple of tiimes

Navy - Air Force in Hawaii could be good if AF can get their life together. Although they stay away from rematches...I guess?

RE: AAC Bowl 2017
The problem is that the AAC doesn't slot teams or rank bowls-they will choose the "best option" for each Bowl. For example, the AAC pays travel expenses/costs off the top so they MIGHT choose a cheaper option to send to Hawaii UNLESS one of the contenders deserve a special Hawaiian vacation like a 11-2 USF or Memphis or even 12-1 UCF. Otherwise, SMU and then Houston are the cheapest teams to send to Hawaii since they have direct flights. They could save money too by sending SMU to Frisco or a Florida school to a Florida Bowl. AAC Bowls sometimes raise eyebrows on the destination of their teams

Hawaii would be a nice trip, expensive but the game would be a good one too. Hawaii Bowl doesnt get a lot of travelers due to cost but locasl do show up and that would be a nice match up
I have been to every bowl USF has made so far, so i would try

Hey Cue. Could you do us ignorant folks a favor and edit the op to show in what cities each bowl is? Like, Obviously B-ham bowl is in B-ham Al, but I don't know where the Military, Cure, Access (I'm assuming Georgia - Peach state), or Frisco are. Somehow, I doubt Frisco is in San Francisco.

I'm not Cue, but:

Access - Atlanta, GA
Birmingham - Birmingham, AL
Cure - Orlando, FL
Military - Annapolis, MD (Navy's Stadium)
Frisco - Frisco, TX

Hope that helps.04-cheers

RE: AAC Bowl 2017
Frisco is one of the fastest growing suburbs (if not the fastest) in the United States about 30 miles straight up the Tollway from Dallas. Although its not a destination bowl, plenty of top flight restaurants/dining/hotels have moved in. I hope SMU doesn't get that bid but trying to stay positive for others that might be trying to decide if they would go to the Frisco Bowl-its a nice, first class (but) miniature stadium in a place with plenty of great restaurants/hotel options. Also home to the new Dallas Cowboys multi-purpose practice facility known as the Star. Probably could be a fun, short weekend but not a destination bowl like New Orleans, Miami etc-it gets pretty good reviews from fans from its annual hosting of the FCS Championship.

Other than Birmingham those aren't bad vacation destinations. At least Birmingham is against an SEC school.

My guess as well. Could see usf and temple switching bowls but most likely usf gets st Pete if they don't get access bowl.

The AAC/ESPN helped create this Frisco bowl, right? The game should be played at SMU. At least then you could stay in downtown Dallas and party in Uptown or Deep Ellum. There's nothing in Frisco that isn't in any booming suburb in America.

RE: AAC Bowl 2017
Why doesn't the AAC get the Armed Forces bowl this year? I can't believe CUSA has that ahead of the American, even if the opponent will be Army. Army-Houston in Ft. Worth would be a decent game - unless the Frisco Bowl's at large spot is filled by a P5 team. But, I highly doubt that many P5 teams will want to travel to play a moderately difficult AAC opponent in a small venue with a low payout.

FWIW, I'm still hoping that it's BYU-Houston in Frisco....still mathematically possible...

What is this "basketball season" you speak of? Here at USF, we hear tales of some mythical sport that tides people over from the end of football season and the start of baseball season, but we know it's really an urban legend like snipes and jackalopes.
