Yeah, you just keep waiting for that. Maybe one day people will recognize how important women's basketball is in realignment. 07-coffee3

Rutgers proved that sports aren't important at all in realignment.

Yup, as we sit in the middle of the B1G standings we don't play sports. 07-coffee3

Nothing more Rutgers than bragging about being 4-5 with a loss to Eastern Michigan

A couple of years ago that would have been a banner year for the Tigers. Just think, if your FB was better you might have been invited to the BE when your two friends were.

Truth. Difference between me and you is that I am not going on the Big 10 board bragging about a 4-5 season.

Both Memphis and Rutgers have been irrelevant in football since before our grandfathers were born.

Say what???

"The first ever college football national championship awarded (retroactively) was split between the only two participants in 1869, Rutgers and Princeton. Princeton was named the champion by the Billingsley Report and the National Championship Foundation, while college football research historian Parke H. Davis named the two teams co-champions."

Grab BYU/Boise FB and VCU/Zags BB. Build the conference to further separate from the G4

Army and BYU have no interest in joining a conference at this time. Boise had its chance to join and played out the situation looking for a better financial package playing the MWC against the AAC. The MWC won and they stayed put even paying a penalty to the AAC to do so.

New Mexico State, Liberty, and UMASS are looking for a new home. Maybe the AAC should talk to them if the conference is thinking about expansion.

The AAC needs to stay as is and build the brand with the schools they have. The football side has been relatively successful and the conference has the potential to become a four bid league for the NCAA BB Tournament with Wichita in the fold. The AAC can think about expansion and /or a merger with the B-12 remnants should Texas and Oklahoma decide to leave and blow up that conference around 2025. 07-coffee3
