Question for anyone who knows. Does the WSOC winning season streak include post season games?

I think it does because the record reflects the team's final won-loss record (and that always includes the postseason). So, yes, if the Tribe wins the CAA and then the first game of the NCAA then our 34-year record of winning seasons will extend to 35 (or is it 37 to 38, I can't remember off of the top of my head).

Bring on the Hens baby!

That win DRAMATICALLY increased our odds of an at-large berth.

Soccer is tied up at halftime; getting out shot 7-2. I haven't seen every minute, but I only saw the Tribe string together at least three passes once (4). Hofstra wasn't much better. W&M getting pushed around early, but both teams were more or less equally ineffective toward the end of the half. I can't believe #4 (Sami Grasso) is a senior. She looks like a high school sophomore.

Final 1-0 to Hofstra. That's too bad.

RE: Big Day For Women's Sports!
Well, I guess we'll take one out of two.

Great win for the Field Hockey team! The Final is Sunday at 1:00. Go Tribe!!!!!

Disappointing loss for the Soccer team. They never really looked like they were in it. I momentarily looked away and naturally missed the only score of the game but the announcers said that it was a score off of a deflection. I was hoping the team would steal one with a 1-0 win but that score killed it.

Even so --- CONGRATULATIONS to the Women's Soccer Team for 34 straight winning years -- an NCAA record! Well done! Start a brand new streak.

By the way, does anybody (Rocco comes to mind) know which team in which sport now has the longest active streak of winning seasons? I wonder how close they are to our 34.

RE: Big Day For Women's Sports!
Hofstra scored on a corner kick. The Pride put the ball on goal, it was temporarily kept out by one of our defenders (not the goalie), and Hofstra cleaned up the rebound and put it home. The better team won.

This was the first I've seen of the team this year, and I'm certainly not a soccer scout, but I was impressed with freshman Erin Dailey. Hopefully brighter days are ahead.

RE: Big Day For Women's Sports!
I'm a Hofstra fan, and I think William & Mary did well for a 5 seed playing at a 1. Shots on goal were 5 to 3 in favor of Hofstra and corner kicks were 3 each. You're disappointed to end your streak of winning seasons, but your streak ended because you lost to teams worse than Hofstra, not because of tonight. Hofstra had chances in the first 3 minutes. I'm a Hofstra fan who went to the game (and sat near William & Mary fans). I never expected Hofstra to lose, but at halftime I wouldn't have been shocked if there was extra time.

RE: Big Day For Women's Sports!
The ladies soccer team will bounce back from this rebuilding season and start a new win streak next year. They have several outstanding recruits lined up and a good nucleus returning.

Meanwhile let's celebrate this remarkable season of field hockey and the chance to win a CAA crown tomorrow. Congratulations to the coaching staff and players for providing Tribe fans with the surprise
team of the fall. They have been playing outstanding defense the past seven games...at the highest level for sure...

Tomorrow's championship game is a tough order; Delaware is the defending National Champion and it's being played at the Blue Hens field...but with the level of defense the team is currently playing
we have a more than decent chance to pull a monumental upset if we can score an early goal or two.
This team deserves, win or lose, an invitation to the NCAA Tourney and a higher ranking than #19.
