These guys always do such a great job, glad coach agreed to sit down with them. Good listen.

I enjoyed listening to that last night. Interesting that he had Richmond starting. I can see that. At times, Jaquel looked awesome last year. Really good quicks, defended, could stick a J and had that nice floater. There's some good pieces for the future.

I caught the part about Richmond starting as well. Interesting. Also noted pretty high praise for Elmore...who lost some weight over the summer...(just messin' with ya' Bill. Don't go ballistic)...04-cheers[/align]

RE: Men's Hoops Talk
'82,
He's listed at 250 lbs on the roster (I agree that he didn't look 250 lbs but could be wrong) and I didn't here that he lost weight. Maybe he ballooned to 265 or something...just kidding. You were the guy that was all over him in the beginning via watching him and you're a big man guy yourself so there had to be something there. I'll just add this, homeboy has a legit J, that thing is absolutely legit. I know great shot presentation (teach and coach it) and he has it. If he will embrace the physical nature of the position, I'd say that he has a good chance to really help out. He can certainly stretch the D with that J. Once he gets comfortable taking and making that 3 ball or high post shot, things will open up for guys. If you're that pure, it's a matter of time and confidence.

We have what we have folks...it's better than a lot of teams, but not stacked with guys that have experience getting it done. Coach needs to max out the talent that we have and I hope that he eventually will. Hawks had SICK talent last year and lost in the 1st round to a team they should not have lost to in the Dance. My hope is that this team plays at or above their talent/experience level. That's how I look at all of this-coach did all he could do to put together this class and a few of them look to be at least solid CAA players, at least. The players will eventually come here to compete for the NCAA's and it could conceivably happen sooner than later. Let's just see. He's off to a really good start recruiting wise.
