A quick look at stats, while the standings will change based on what other teams do. It looks as if the defense may move up between 3-6 spots in most categories.

Looks as if Pollards average will only drop to 41.1. They have really been kicking aw3ay from him with as low as we are in scoring defense he has only had 15 kick off returns in 9 games. If not for that penalty his average would have been around 44.5 and have 4 TDs. He has so few kick returns that that one long return could adjust his average by over 3 yards per kick off.

I thought about this the other day, after that "which one do you want" thread, that it would be one of those quirks where we would get VTech in the Peach.

Then the dread occurred to me that it would be with an interim coach and we would look as bad as we did against Auburn in B'ham.

I am guessing should VT win today, they will stay with one loss until the ACC title game. Don't know if they have played GTech yet...if they were to make that game, would think win or lose they would play in Atlanta, although maybe not with a loss. Interesting.

If favorites win out the rest of the year, and they won't...Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, Washington and Ohio State auto qualify. Notre Dame gets one of those spots. Memphis/UCF gets a spot. That leaves three. Georgia, Wisconsin, Penn State and a handful of others...absent winning the AAC may be tough for VT.

That 2nd half was the best our D has played all season. Absolute destruction. Bye week comes at a great time.
