U.S. Consumer Confidence Just Hit Its Highest Level In Almost 17 Years
Another hit to the legacy of the former community organizer.
Quote:U.S. consumer confidence rose more than expected in October to the highest in almost 17 years as Americans grew more confident about the economy and job market, according to figures Tuesday from the New York-based Conference Board.
Key Takeaways
Jumps in the Conference Board’s measures of the present situation and expectations signal Americans are becoming more upbeat about the economy and employment as the labor market improves and stock prices climb to records. Improvement in household confidence helps underpin their spending, the biggest part of the economy.
The results are consistent with other reports that showed economic activity and confidence are bouncing back, in part a sign that the hit from the recent hurricanes is dissipating. The University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment index climbed in October to the strongest since the start of 2004, while the Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index is near the highest level of the expansion.
The share of respondents who say jobs are plentiful rose to 36.3 percent, the most since June 2001, while people reporting good business conditions increased to 34.5 percent, matching the highest since 2001.

But some dipshits on here want to try to tell us that Trump is polling in the 30's, and the polling data is legit.

Holy sh*t, did you just criticize the polling data for being inaccurate by pointing to polling data?

"...Like Trump or not, by the end of his first three quarters of his presidency, GDP growth had rebounded and was growing at a pace set to achieve 3 percent for the year. Real unemployment (U6) had fallen below 8 percent; business and consumer confidence were at record levels. Energy production was likewise. Manufacturers expressed confidence unlike that seen in the last two decades. Corporate profits were unparalleled. The radical turnabout was largely Reaganesque in spirit—predicated on a new can-do psychological climate, ending insidious deregulation, the specter of impending tax-cuts, and a determination that manufacturing could return to the United States if energy was cheaper than elsewhere and industry had proper incentives. One can see the sudden bustle anywhere one goes...."

Man, the left will have a tough, tough time spinning that...they'll try though. And fail.

LOL! You wouldn't think so with the fake approval ratings the DNCMSN keeps putting out... Hell, Trump's gonna be polling single digits in 2019 and still get reelected because errbody hates him.

I still think the issue with polling data is you still have people who won't answer the questions honestly that they are pro-trump. He's basically polling the same now as he dd the week before the election.
