Cannot believe the Illini are playing in Lantz Arena, but this is cool. Lantz Arena, and EIU & Charleston in general, are dumps. (I was bored out of my life my semester there before transferring to NIU.)

Their student section is LITERALLY one of those rolling bleachers you see at little league parks with the aluminum behind the backstop, about 8 rows of seats.

And now they wont schedule an in-state game until 2040 minimum. This result is probably like NIU throwing a pick six, it will induce 20 years of taking a knee.

The ILL-ness will still schedule an in-state game, but it will only be in Sham-bana and it'll be in the once a decade category against an in-state foe they deem is no threat.
What this outcome means is they won't ever go on the road even for another exhibition.
