still wouldn't trade it for the Westone I purchased from Bob's (i think that was the name) Music shop on Summer Ave. during the summer of 1984.

Bob Fisher's MusicTown, he was still in the old house on the corner of Berclair and Summer with the creaky wood floors. I think the internet(mainly MusiciansFriend and Guitar Center)did them in. Everyone can see the price now, going to guitar stores was like buying a car, they were true salesman and would have a $499 tag hanging on a $199 Squier Strat and some smo who didn't know any better would come in looking to start playing, he would let the guy talk him down $50 dollars and even throw in a $5 strap, $2 set of strings, a few free group lessons that nobody would ever show up for and about 10 picks and dude would walk out thinking he really made out, all the while he was getting cornholed.

Yall that brings back A lot of memories! I think I bought more guitars from Mr. Fisher than any other place. I saw him all over town and he was such a nice guy. Yes, guitars were priced high but we didn't have many options back then.

I went to highschool with his daughter, haven't seen nor talked to her in 25ish years.

Yeah man everyone had a Mel Bay book laying around. I did buy a few guitars and amps from them, they were always cool and seemed like good people. Last couple of years they were open I stopped by a couple of times and his son was was the only one around and didn't have much in the store, he said he was trying to sell some stuff online but was mostly doing band instruments and repairs.
