Well the tooth fairy didn't call people SOBs. Who else is to blame for the words that came out of Trump's mouth?

What does this have to do with the price of tea in China?

Do you really need help connecting the dots? Can you imagine if Trump said that, tweeted that or retweeted that, as opposed to calling players protesting the Anthem SOBs. Can you imagine if any Republican tweeted that? There would be mass protests all over America, calling Republicans genocidal Nazis. But as long as the message comes from a leftist group it is just fine.

Can you imagine if Obama tweeted what Trump tweets? It goes both ways.

Yeah, when your policies harm people who need reproductive health services, making a comment outlining the risk of childbirth has a different meaning than if you're the organization whose literally at the forefront of that fight since it's inception. I fail to see what exactly is unfair about that?

I'm the dumb dumb. I meant do people actually believe kneeling is not hurting the NFL. Lol. Of course it is.

I'm not saying that it's having no effect, but acting as if the NFL viewership declining is compelling evidence of the kneeling hurting them, you're bad at critical thinking.

Trump won this argument. The people were with him. They are against the diva players.

Take a look at Target's stock to see how not to treat your customer base.

It's the experience from multiple marriages. The ultimate wife arguing tactic: wait until the argument is pretty much a stalemate and bring it back up at the last minute.

Against the diva players but totally for the diva president.

Of course you would blame Trump, despite the BS kneeling starting during the Obama presidency.

What evidence are you basing that on? If anything, the data I can find is ambiguous, with a vast majority (84%) of people supporting their right to protest while only a minority finding (35%) agreed that not standing for the anthem is an acceptable protest. Source.

That last comment had nothing to do with blaming anybody for anything. You were saying that Trump won the argument, which is silly, so I put tongue firmly in cheek and said something silly as well.

As far as how I really feel about the issue, I've said before that I don't really blame Trump. I blame the media most of all and an easily manipulated populace second. Trump just did something that was an automatic win for him. Get his people and his opposition angry at what amounts the same thing at the same time when his administration was getting criticism elsewhere.

That's fair. You can be against both.

Anyone who doesn't think the ratings decline is from the kneeling is mistaken.

I know four adults in my family who haven't watched a game all year.

Just wait. It will only escalate from here.

You dont screw around with your customer base. Your customer base will respond, and getting them back is extremely difficult.

Plenty of articles have been written about declining viewership and why.

We will not watch about 300 hours of NFL broadcasts this year.

That's data.

Pretty sure I provided a source earlier in the thread, and I haven't seen a single source provided which shows it's even among the larger factors influencing viewership. Im not saying it's impossible, just saying it's silly for so many people to think they know just cause.
