AP Preseason Poll - Shockers #7, Bearcats #12
Just more major national respect going into the season for these two AAC teams. Wichita is a great addition ---

Seems like a place to put this .
Looking forward to this soon to be intense rivalry . A UC blog has ranked all the away and home / games this year. Needless to day the Bearcat / Shocker battles are first on each list . Can't wait

I’m sure some will disagree with this ranking, but this game is massive. It’s the final home game of the regular season, it’s Wichita’s Senior Day, and it should have massive AAC implications. If the Shockers are as good as we think they are, and the Bearcats are as good as we think they are, this could be a Top 10 matchup on the final day of the regular season in Cincinnati’s first trip to Wichita. It’s on a Sunday. It’s at noon. It’s on CBS. It’s in March. Oh baby. Rating: 10/10

Yeah, this will be huge. February 18th is right around the time when we start looking ahead to the AAC tournament projections and NCAA seeding. This one is also coming off a nearly two-week stretch without a home game. It’s also a Sunday afternoon game on ESPN. This game will be absolutely bonkers, and will draw tons of national attention if these two teams live up to their potential. Prepare for mayhem. Rating: 10/10

If both teams are healthy this should be games like when the MVC was the 'Valley of Death'. I think we Shocker fans got a lot bored with 30 point beatdowns last season but we aren't going to complain *too* loud at losing one once in a while. I have a feeling these two will be a split.

I don't think you'll be bored in this league.

"11] Temple | Wednesday, January 24th @ 9 p.m.
Things take a fairly considerable leap up with this one. Temple finished .500 last season and returns a significant amount of the guys from that group. They’re picked to finish seventh this season, but that also means they’re the worst of the serviceable teams in the American. There’s a steep drop-off with the bottom five teams. Throw in the fact that the Owls don’t have a player on the AAC First or Second Team and this Wednesday 9 p.m. game in January is not something I have marked on my calendar. Rating: 5/10"
Bulletin board material, haha. I think Mick knows how good we will be. 9/10

I think Temple will finish closer to 3rd than 7th . But that whole group of 3-7 (SMU, Houston , UCF, Temple, UConn ) is such a toss up right now. All those teams are capable of putting a good season together and end up in the NCAAs.... 2-3 of those will

I agree. Don't take any win for granted, especially on the road.
