Good read, surprised to see a full USA Today piece on it.

Interesting to see Danny White modeled us after TCU.

Frost Quote gives you hope.

Even if he leaves, I think we found a special kind of offense here in Florida. I hope whoever takes over continues the UCFAST campaign and offense.

Just like we wanted someone to continue the "Gulf Coast Offense" and just improve the defense a little.

I've been waiting 2 years for next year. Frost just needs to stay one more for the plan to work now.

I find it interesting that the AD for UN has stated he is going to appraise Riley's status at the end of the year. I can't believe that UN has not contacted Frost's agent and offered a great deal for him and his coaches to compete with other schools. With the new early signing period, I would think that UN would fire Riley earlier if Frost was interested this year which makes me feel a little easier. Yes, another school could be dealing now with Frost, but would the security of the other jobs be a deciding factor. Maybe the recruiting would be less, but being in the BIG western division it should not be that hard to overcome with those players, especially with his system.

Texas did the same thing last year. Everyone thought they were behind the curve with LSU but they were in the hunt the entire time. The benefit of having an agent is they are doing all the work right now. They know what schools the coach would consider and when the time comes he'll interview for the ones he wants that are interested in him.

I heard all the same lines last year, "we can win a national title here", "fertile recruiting grounds", "this state is big enough for multiple power programs", etc etc etc. Don't get caught up in what they are saying on camera. It doesn't mean anything.

Maybe he stays. I doubt it though.

I can't argue that it is a good chance, but the UT argument is not quite the same to me since the early signing period did not start until this year. I am not sure UT would have waited until late November to release Strong.

Memphis Commercial Appeal's lead sports columnist Geoff Calkins, on a podcast yesterday afternoon:

"It's not just Memphis fans. Look at Central Florida. Scott Frost is gone gone gone. He is gone."

I wouldn't say so. Remember, before he bailed, Herman heaped praise on his job at Houston, talking about how he was building something special at Houston, that Houston was a huge metro area with loads of football talent, growing fan interest, booming university, his family loves it, all kinds of positive stuff.

Then he left.

Coaches will talk up their current job because (a) you don't want a P5 to think you're desperate to leave, because then they will think they can get you on the cheap, (b) you don't want to burn your bridges by talking down your current job, because the same schools you pass by on the elevator up you might have to face again on the elevator down if the P5 gig doesn't work out, and © if the expected P5 offer doesn't come through and you've talked down your current job, you've alienated yourself from a job you now need.

Means nothing. If schools like Nebraska or Florida make him an offer, Frost will leave.

I sure hope USF's recruiting staff is pounding this message home to prospects throughout central and south Florida as we speak.

Other than Osborne, Nebraska has made some awful choices for AD who in turn have made some awful hires of head coaches. Looks like the trend continues.

1 more year

He’s got a sophomore QB that can make a legit Heisman run next year. A team that voters won’t sleep on in preseason if they keep the coaching staff together.

Right now this underclassmen leads the nation in passing efficiency (199.7), completion percentage (72.9) and yards per attempt (11.28)

Frost won’t stay loyal to UCF but his first recruiting class? I think he sticks with Milton, Killins and that special group for 1 more year.
