UC basketball season tickets are sold out
CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati Athletics has announced that men's basketball season tickets are sold out for the coming 2017-18 season at BB&T Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky.

It marks the first time Bearcats' season tickets have sold out since the 1999-2000 campaign.

BB&T Arena serves as the 2017-18 home of Bearcats basketball while UC's on-campus venue, Fifth Third Arena, undergoes an $87 million renovation prior to reopening in fall 2018.

// TICKETS SOLD OUT FOR WICHITA STATE GAME

UC Athletics also has announced that all tickets for the Wichita State contest on Feb. 18 at BB&T Arena are sold out.
The Shockers play their first season in the American Athletic Conference in 2017-18.

Tickets for all other games remain available but are going fast. A limited number of five-game mini plans, starting at $150, offer Bearcats fans the option to pick two from contests against UConn, SMU or Mississippi State, as well as three other games of their choice.

Lower-bowl mini-plan seats are already sold out though a limited number of upper-bowl seats are still available. To purchase tickets, visit GoBearcats.com/tickets or call 1-877-CATS-TIX.

Any remaining single-game tickets will go on sale on Monday, Nov. 6, through BB&T Arena and Ticketmaster.

so what will tickets go for next year and opener against Ohio State? Anybody want to take any guesses ( specially for coming off the deep NCAA run).

You could make the argument that NKU is a lot easier to get to for more of the local area fans than Clifton.

I'd argue that. Getting across the bridges isn't easy at rush hour. Most people in NKY seem to be UK fans more often than not. I can't see how it's easier, for most fans.

I think it has to do with a great team, less tickets, causing panic due to less availability.

How many season tickets does UC sell (I'm sure this year is different than past years)?

To add to this, being a season ticket holder this year allows you to be first in line to get tickets into next year's renovated 5/3rd.

Its easy for people on the eastside and in eastern suburbs/counties. I live in Clermont County-- I can get to NKU very quickly going south on 275.

Yes, I understand that. That isn't most fans though.

Easier for some... Living in West Chester for the last month+ it's going to be harder for me, but really not THAT much harder. Worried about the backups crossing the river from 71 to 471 as that was an issue for night classes in law school.

The problem I've had with NKU isn't entry parking. It's getting cars out of parking and off campus when the event is over..

Will it not be a giant mess getting in and out of NKU? With no bars or restaurants to go to before or after, and with UC's typical late-arriving crowd, I fear that it's going to take 20-30 minutes to get through that last/first mile before/after the game.

Yea, I was thinking anybody on the east (from Loveland down to New Richmond), obviously NKY fans, and also downtown fans closer to the river and some west siders closer to the river.

I've got my alternate route entrance and exit strategy mapped out and will test it out Sunday . Didn't get warm and fuzzies trying to get in and out for the 2-3k that was there for the scrimmage Saturday.

The real key is going to be the weeknight games at 7p . Leave early and expect delays . There will be a several game learning curve for those not used to navigating the area.

RE: UC basketball season tickets are sold out
Maybe splitting hairs here but "season tickets sold out" is not "sold out for the season" as the Shoe was years ago. To me this is more marketing and I don't mean that in a negative way. Clearly, they believed they had (mostly) filled the demand for season tickets prior to offering mini-plans. Perhaps some mini-plan buyers decided to upgrade to season tickets in a few cases. So they were able to make this announcement to stimulate more mini-plan sales prior to releasing single game tickets November 6, four days prior to the opener. The reality is only Wichita State is sold out. Mini-plan sales will likely drive at least a half dozen additional sellouts.

With all that said, this is still a very positive achievement, playing in a substitute arena, outside the state of Ohio.

I'll be completely honest. My friends and I were kind of screwing around on the season tickets and ended up missing the cheaper options (which is in our price range). We tooled around with the mini plans as well, but decided we'll catch a few games and hope for the best next year.

Curious to see what the Secondary market will be like.

Can we infer from this that the still-unfinished 5/3 Arena is already too small?

No. Demand is a good thing. Making sure all the seats are desirable creates demand. UC doesn't need a huge arena. 10,000+ is enough.
