I really have no idea what to expect for this game. UTEP could get their first win or we could win it by 40.

If Urzua was playing I could predict two things. 1) He will throw at least one interception. 2) We will score between 20 and 24 points max. But he is likely out with a concussion. Richie James is also out.

If Brent plays then we score 45.

But Brent has an MRI today and he might not play if it doesn't look good and then it falls to a RS freshman QB named Kyle Banks.

So, good luck out there if you are betting this one.

UTEP's usual starting QB is back for this game, injury problems, and the starting RB is also back from injury. Metz, the QB and Wadley the RB are UTEP's best chance to get anything done on offense. However, the only way to describe the offense is God awful. TD's called back for penalties. Throwing a pick six every now and then.

The defense has actually improved the last 3 games. The game vs WKU could have just as easily been a win if we had a decent field goal kicker. USM dominated UTEP but the Miner defense held them to 24 but the offense gave USM the ball at the 2 just before the half. If the offense had actually contributed anything to that game, Miners might have caused USM to work up a sweat. UTSA led UTEP 17-14 at the half and the Miners did nothing offensively in the 2nd half. UTSA had a pick six in the 4th to get the final score to 31-14. UTEP's D held UTSA to 24 offensive points and below their avg yardage.

So, if UTEP can find a way to generate some offense and the D keeps improving, I would guess a final of about MT 27 UTEP 14. That's likely about as good as UTEP can do.

We didn't need it. Brent only threw four or five passes in the second half. He was also very, very rusty as well.

But congrats on getting some things done. That's some weak ****. You don't know how good you have it to be close to enough to go to the games. There's only six, but I guess you got some stuff done you couldn't get to the other 259 days a year. You should be proud.

Yes, MT D did a great job. But, and it's a big but, UTEP's offense is as bad as it gets. The UTEP D is not all that bad the last few games, not great but not bad. If UTEP had a decent offense capable of producing at least some points and moving the chains somewhat, the D would be doing even better. Hoping for an offensive minded HC for next season. As painful as this season has been for the fans, it's even worse for the team's seniors. I feel for them.

Thanks for the good luck wishes. We will need it and I agree about our defense. It's pretty much all the team has. The offense is non-existent.

I have found that the biggest trumpeters of our poor attendance are those that live in the area that don't come to the games themselves.

I had a helluva time. Brought 6 new folks to the game (in addition to my family of 5, including a 2-year-old).

I got a hell of a lot of stuff done. I do like the feature of asking Alexa to play most radio call signs and I get the station. I asked for WGNS and low and behold I had Chip and Wes that easy.

But, I can't wait to make Murphy Center this year. Now that is a product I can put lists on hold for.

I think attendance at the skillet is about where it should be. No stones gonna be thrown from me. Those numbers have been earned.
