RE: Mid-Major Top 25 (2017-18) (rankings and streaks)
Of course it matters not one whit now, but we dropped from 5 to 12 in the College Insiders' poll. UNC-G up from 17 to 10. Paladins 26th.

Yep, currently ranked dead last in both Kenpom and RPI. Thanks a lot guys!
They did beat "Cairn" and "Georgian Court" (and no, I've not heard of either one of those, either); and only lost to Pitt by 6.
Delaware St. finishes with a flourish - winning two of their last four to finish 2-27. Both of their victims had an RPI worse than 330.

RE: Mid-Major Top 25 (2017-18) (rankings and streaks)
Not that it matters, but the final mid-major poll pushed us down to 16th - likely better than we deserved. Loyola-Chicago, who won in the first round, ended up 2nd behind the Zags who got all first-place votes.
More interestingly......if one looks at the top tier of finishers in that poll, vs. how they performed in the first two days of the tournament, they did quite respectfully well. Most didn't win, but were competitive. Precedent-setting UMBC actually climbed into the 24th spot in the poll, and as I recall they weren't even in sniffing distance 'til very late in the season.
