While I understand that how we brand ourselves and with which company has meaning, I find it rather absurd that someone would choose where they play a sport/get an education based on the apparel company.

This is 2017--it's not 1991 anymore. Hell, it's not even 2004 anymore. Most kids aren't choosing who to sign with based on the academic programs the schools offer. They are choosing based on the conference affiliation, their opponents, school colors/logo, apparel deal, tv games, relationship with the asst. coaches who recruited them, location etc. Most of these kids know they can get a measly sports medicine/mgmt degree at almost ANY school they sign with because that's the easy degree they are only interested since they have to be in school for something.

Kids signing with P5 schools are going with who is paying the most. G5 kids are signing for the other reasons listed. 03-shhhh

You'd be surprised how many G5 schools are paying as well, it's just not as much.

I'm good with Adidas and we should get better fan apparel. I mean Russell kinda fell off with their stuff. I work with an A&M guy and he has some pretty nice polos and ball caps.

The reality is: multiple corching changes have hurt us...HWSNBN 1 year here was similar to an enema...and every frickin' state around us has boucoup Div I programs, which has taken recruits, fans, interest and money away from us.

Still, we shoulda been primed and ready for the move up to the AAC and we screwed the pooch....

....and I don't wanna hear ECU and UL this, Houston that and USF there....North Carolina is one of the fastest growing state's in the union.....UL and Houston are in metro areas with Fortune 500 companies and rich alumni....while USF just happened to be in Florida ala FL State.

Sure, they have more money than us, BUT SO DOES EVERY STATE IN THE UNION! But except for Tennessee and Alabama, they don't have 2 SEC teat suckers sucking the life outta the whole godd@mned state!

These aren't excuses, but reality....and we can sob and say woe is us and give the f^ck up, or we can say we have made some horrible decisions on top of our already shatty circumstances, man up, wipe the slate clean, and go back in there and fight for what is rightfully ours.

Thanks 04-cheers

indeed.

the reality is that we can give up, and be the team that the supercilious condemners would have us to be. or, we can try.

I truly believe that our worst enemy isn't the IHL, it's our fellows.

Switching to Adidas will be worth at least 4 Dandy Dozen commits, 2 regular season wins, and possibly a trip to the Sugar Bowl.

Well we got two of those Dandy Dozen commits so far after the switch, so maybe you're on to something.
