Three SBC Teams In Mid Major Top 25 Preseason Poll
# 9- UTA
# 13- Louisiana
# 25- Georgia State

And from others receiving votes, Georgia Southern would have been #28.

It's great the league is getting stronger and stronger. But it may not be so great for team who lost all 5 starters (us).

Depends on how you look at it. As you analyzed why last year's team underperformed expectations due to the starters being mainly roll players, losing starters from that sub .500 team might not be all bad.

Of course, I agree since I said it. I guess my point is I always wanted us to be in as strong a league as possible. We are moving to being one of the stronger midmajors leagues, especially with the MoValley getting weaker. Thing is, we as a program have to keep up. It is very possible we are keeping up and will do fine this year. Thing is, I honestly have no idea where our team ranks in the Sun Belt hierarchy this coming season. I'm really anxious to see some of the new players for myself on Friday. An exhibition game won't tell me a whole lot, but hopefully I'll know a tad more than I do right now.
