Yes, but he was still our leading returning scorer. I think a lot of it comes down to he's not a particularly great fit in Balado's system. He's not a good enough ball handler to run the point, and not a good enough shooter to play the two guard. He pretty much has to play the three, and Balado seems to prefer longer/taller players for that spot. He fit in great last year when we often had to play 5 guard lineups...but with actual big men this year, that's not a need.
There will be growing pains early, especially with a Freshman set to run a fair amount of the point, but it will get better as it goes.

No way Simms isn't good enough to play for Balado's system. He's a borderline athletic freak. Has to be attitude/effort/off the court stuff.
