This would be a perfect time for him to go off and have a big game. Nice and rested. He would make Childers much more effective.

A good offense is a good defense. Hopefully that means less three and outs, so the Huskie D can stay energized.

RE: Huff is in Thursday
Need the OL to create some holes this week. EMU push them around until late in the 4th and overtime.
How much of that was EMU's defense feeling bad because of the poor EMU offense?

Without him I wasn't seeing a good outcome.

Carey said Jordan Huff will travel to and be available at Toledo, but Huff hasn't taken many practice snaps this week.

That does not sound anywhere near 100%. With Huff not practicing since the Buffalo game, I would not be surprised to see Jones start and Huff only getting a few carries.

I'd really like to see Dwayne Milton get some carries. I think we'd be pleasantly surprised.

I agree. He sure ran well against BG. While late in the game and maybe not BGs best defenders on the field he sure had moves and looked very quick. Plus I understand he works his butt off in practice; always great to reward the hard work!

Apparently carey wasn’t satisfied with what he saw yesterday. Huff isn’t traveling to Toledo

High ankle sprains are tough, I agree with the comments about Milton, seems like it is worth a try based on his performance at BGSU

RE: UPDATE: Huff is out Thursday
Given Carey's statements yesterday I am not surprised. Marcus Jones said something about Mister being injured when he was talking about the EMU game. Given that and Mister's fumbling issues, I see a lot Jones; I would like to see Tre H get more than a few carries and see what he can do; I would also like to see Milton getting carries as he is a good change of pace and is quick.

Hate to say it, but not going to be a good outcome for us now. Huff is a difference maker against good teams.

You hate to say it and I hate to agree, but I do. Jones is a good RB, but Huff is so much more explosive. As I said, I would like to see Tre H. get more carries; he has the resume so let's see what he can do when he gets more than a couple of carries in a game.

Not sure Toledo is the “let’s try” something game.

I’d probably run QB power 25 times

Ugh. It might be successful this game, but I hate watching it.

RE: UPDATE: Huff is out Thursday
I think Marcus Jones can pick up the slack. Also Toledo’s defense ain’t great. We should still be able to run on them. Our Rush Defense is in the top 10. Rockets rush defense is not even in the top 50.

I also want to see a power type back soften the middle early and keep the D honest. Was thinking Harbison fit the mold. Just haven't seen him enough yet to determine his style. Anyone else have thoughts?
