This is entirely inappropriate.

How would you like it if someone posted a public poll and voters expressed whether or not they think you should keep your job?

I continue to be amazed about what some people post behind the secrecy of their computer.

So, it's OK to discuss whether a coach should keep his job, but not whether the team radio announcer should? It's not our decision. It's a discussion.

Yeah, the irony. Or kill kids who don't play well or transfer.

Wolo literally tries to tell you everything that is happening, which can't be done. More often than not, while he's still trying to relay all that is happening the play is already over. You can hear the whistle of the ref, the groans or cheers from the crowd telling you how the play turned out before he is done with his precise play by play.

The Ut guy gives an overview, tells the outcome then, get specific. Much easier to listen to.

I agree totally. His basketball calls are somehow even worse, at least we have Jarvis with football.
Jeff Brightwell deserves an opportunity.

Think you've had enough coffee today, lighten up Danny1. It's called an opinion.

Re Wolo, we should have replaced him ten years ago. But I never listen to him, so he doesn't bother me that much.

Yeah, same for bball. Just listen for the whistle or crowd noise and the call will soon follow.

The two thoughts aren't mutually exclusive.

The thread is kinda dumb.

AND, Wolo is a terrible play-by-play guy.

The most amazing thing (that is also the most annoying thing) about it is that his obviously fake enthusiasm goes up when HE tells you our guy crossed the goal line, not when the crowd in the background told you 3 seconds before.

Yeah, I would love Brightwell to take over.

All true, I'm sure. But my question is why does anyone listen to him? I'm either at the games, or watch on TV or ESPN3. Surprised that some still listen to the games on radio.

Good point. I happened to be driving home from a dinner and wanted to at least catch the beginning of the Memphis-Houston game.

Ok. Makes sense.

I haven't heard Wolo's voice in years. Just lucky I haven't had to be in the car during games, I guess.
