His son went or still goes to school there.

But why would Sexton be there the day he was supposedly negotiating McElwain's buyout? That's why I asked Hometown when the pic was taken.

Thanks. Chad Morris would be a helluva hire for Ole Miss. Give him 7 years at $4M per year and make him say no.

Can only offer 4 years in MS. Think $14M/4years to start is probably close.

Yikes, either had forgotten or did not know that. Guess that is why Mullen got the 4-year extension.

I don't think 4 years will be enough to lure Morris to Oxford. Morris is well-liked by Texas HS coaches. He can sit and wait for A&M or Tech or Okie State if Gundy leaves.

Ole Miss has shown an ability to recruit Texas well. I think he's a mover ...wants to strike while he can. Definitely think he would take A&M over Ole Miss...not sure they offer.

A&M would have to strike out on bigger fish to offer Morris, but A&M has a bit of Tennessee in them, i.e. they think everyone is dying to coach there.

I just don't think 4 years is enough for Ole Miss to get a guy like Morris. Under sanctions this year, so talent level is heading down. Will get more sanctions next season. Looking at year 3 to start to turn things. Morris can get as good or better a job not under NCAA sanctions, not having to play in the SEC west.

More I think about it, why not just bring Matt Luke back another year? He hasn't been terrible. Ole Miss can hire full time coach next year as sanctions (they hope) expire.

I saw Tuohy wearing an SMU cap the other day and had the same reaction. Then someone reminded me li'l Blindside was a walk-on at SMU. Plus, who really wants to wear Old Miss stuff these days.

Don't wanna say I told you so, but . . .

Course I didn't say to give him multiple years, but made a lot of sense to ride out the sanctions with one of their own.
