Yikes, either had forgotten or did not know that. Guess that is why Mullen got the 4-year extension.

I don't think 4 years will be enough to lure Morris to Oxford. Morris is well-liked by Texas HS coaches. He can sit and wait for A&M or Tech or Okie State if Gundy leaves.

Ole Miss has shown an ability to recruit Texas well. I think he's a mover ...wants to strike while he can. Definitely think he would take A&M over Ole Miss...not sure they offer.

A&M would have to strike out on bigger fish to offer Morris, but A&M has a bit of Tennessee in them, i.e. they think everyone is dying to coach there.

I just don't think 4 years is enough for Ole Miss to get a guy like Morris. Under sanctions this year, so talent level is heading down. Will get more sanctions next season. Looking at year 3 to start to turn things. Morris can get as good or better a job not under NCAA sanctions, not having to play in the SEC west.

More I think about it, why not just bring Matt Luke back another year? He hasn't been terrible. Ole Miss can hire full time coach next year as sanctions (they hope) expire.

0% chance Luke is back.

Just saw this! Hilarious!!!

Good call...HometownBearShark!

I keep waiting for him to realize how much his old mist homerism affects his "reality".

He never does (and probably won't).
