Marshall only scored 14 on the 49er defense.
On offense, the matchup didn't favor us as their base 3-4 is well suited to stopping the run.
I really hope that the coaches know what they are doing because, IMHO, SW would have benefited greatly from a redshirt season.
That he is a superb athlete is not in question.
It is difficult to assess improvement because UNCC has a poor pass defense.
Williams throws behind his receivers a lot. This affects yards after the catch, and is one reason that there are so many drops. He is often wild when throwing on the run. He still forces into coverage, although yesterday he seemed to have improved in that respect.

Yesterday, our offense looked far more polished and effective with BL at the helm.
On defense, we were able to play Charlotte like so many have played us; defend the run and dare them to pass.
Kudos to Nagy for not playing so soft as to allow for short passes underneath and containing their running attack; especially Klugh.
This was a good effort against a respectable rushing offense, both from the players and the coaches.
