Sunday game- WMU vs Lourdes
I am hoping to see the four Bronco freshmen get some PT.

106-51 Final. Josh Davis 29 points including 10-12 from the field. Didn't see the game but if this team can get steady contributions like that from Davis, that would be huge! Seems his confidence was down at times last year. His great game against Villanova didn't translate to season long success. Hoping for a big year from Josh this season.

Josh Davis will be the break out player of the year. He looked very, very smooth on the court, and made it all look easy....
on the other hand, I'll give our two bigs C-

RE: Sunday game- WMU vs Lourdes
I’m always giddy at the beginning of the season, and think we look great. Usually things don’t work out quite as good as I thought.

This year things are different. This will be a Very Good Year. This is Bronco Basketball as we know and love, but it’s a smoother, sleeker, amped up version. This coaching staff has a lot of experience and many years to meld things together. Coach Hawkins has reached the height of his powers. The systems are fine tuned and working smooth.

These guys can run and they can defend. They find their lanes, there is no hesitation, passes are smooth and accurate. Very quick hands on defense. They are scoring off of defense. And, wonder of wonders, they can shoot!

Lourdes, although undersized, had some nice players. They’ll have a good season as well.

I wish someone would put cleaning and painting of the floors under the seating and stairs on a work request. They really look ratty.

Josh and Seth looked like new people, hawk said Seth is a different person and he looked like it. Several dunks, much quicker and DIDN'T BRING BALL DOWN TO HIS WAIST OR BELOW EVEN ONCE !!!.

Josh looked just as good as he did at breakfast with the Broncos. He will be the difference maker. With a starting 5 and 6-7 men that can score the opponents will have their hands full every game, The new 20 versus 30 second clock will be huge too.

Gonna be a fun year.

C-?!!! Dugan played 20 minutes, was 6-9 from the floor, 5-6 from the line, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals which he took the length of the floor for dunks and you give him a C-? What does he need to do to get an A, 35 points, 25 rebounds and 8 blocks?!!! I hope you are not a teacher with tough grading like that.

What game were you at? Duggan is jumping higher than ever, had three steals and took the ball 2/3's the court by himself. Lamont is just recovering from the European injury that bugged him all last season, he looked more mobile

You are so right about Dugan’s improved ability to jump. Before, he’d just stand tall, maybe get on tip toes, and reach for the ball. Now, he actually goes up! Good to see that coming together.

And, beginning to run the floor like Whittington did beginning as a junior. Nice.

I remember a couple years ago - must've been the year we really struggled - everyone was saying how poor we looked in the Exhibition, so great seeing the comments on Sunday's game!

Last I knew “non-profit” groups pick up trash after Fieldhouse events so often the WMU janitor staff is not made aware of issues like spilled beverages / sticky floor etc. In the past, I have told Event Staff of issues and the area was nicely cleaned by next game. I am sure a phone call to the athletic dept would also work.

Maybe they will read it on this site and take action? Nothing worse than a crappy looking floor under the bleachers. It's also a health hazard and can attract bugs and mice.

They do pick up trash but only WMU maintenance personnel are allowed to push the button to extend/retract the seating. Yes you read that right. I don't think they care about spilled popcorn and coke. Someone else's problem
