Practice pattern
With all the weeknight games, what is the schedule for practice. Do they now practice on Saturday and Sunday to get ready for the games. I wonder what the players think about playing all of these weeknight games.

The schedule is adjusted as if the game was played on Saturday; the day after the game is treated as Sunday.

On the radio show, Carey blasted the 5 day turn around. He emphasized it wasn't safe for the players. He basically blamed the league and how they really aren't concerned about players safety.

It is my understanding that some MAC schools like the weeknight games because of the money they bring in with the TV contract. Those are the same universities that draw 3,000 fans on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in September.
There are other universities that think the whole thing is ridiculous.

ESPN just renewed it last year with a bump in pay. Each team gets $1 million per year compared to $100,000 per team previously. The new contract runs thru 2027.
