RE: 17 Childers vs 14 Hare
Tears has shown a nice speed burst coming out of cuts, but tends to the overly dramatic make everything a highlight film play. He was doing his dancing after a catch and not gaining any YAC's most of the EMU game, but on one of his last catches he finally just turned and went upfield and ground out a couple more yards. Blake is an above average receiver who hasn't had many downfield opportunities in recent games.

We definitely need better ball security this week.

In conference play they're basically neck-n-neck with NIU in points allowed through 4 games. NIU 60, Tol. 63. And Toledo has played the tougher schedule. The bright side is that Toledo can be run on and that helps a Childers style offense. But if Toledo starts passing all over us I think you'll see the game change to a shoot out. If it does, there may be a switch just for this game. The Rockets are the one offense the Huskies may not be able to contain.
I agree. If we get down big, bring in Santa and see if we can make it a true MACtion game.

I very much doubt that Carey would bring in Santa even if Toledo pulls away

I see your point about Tears but for an offense so void of playmakers I wonder if Tears is kind of forced to try and do too much

The Huskie Offense has more than enough playmakers however Carey is playing a QB that to date has been unable to get his receivers the ball on intermediate and long routes.

Childers as RS FR may not be ideal but there are no better choices right now. The fact the best QB is redshirt freshman is indeed on Carey

MD, who do you think is the best QB on NIU roster? I'm not sure if I got that from the first 100 times you have stated it. COGS
