We should charter one of the Patriots two Boeing 767s with all first class seats they just bought a few months back.

We charter a plane for any away games further than I think 6 hours driving. Basically anything north of Villanova is a charter. Usually space for the team, cheerleaders, some boosters and admins.

Football at Stanford in 2020
Maybe a Tribe fan charter will be in the offing for this come 2020.

To take it a step further, would be even more impressive if Huge could arrange a home and home for men's and women's basketball with Stanford, while she's at it.

Most important piece about the news is the recruiting feather it adds.

NE has two of them, keeping one as a spare. Maybe they will let us use for free.

I always smile at the media, local and national, who still use our old logo. They know a great logo when they see it.....Nothing wrong with two griffin feathers

Huge feather for Sam's hat. The press from the announcement alone is impressive.

I wonder if she will move against other links such as Northwestern and Rice?

Any would be a nice mix with a slate of primarily ACC opponents.

RE: Football at Stanford in 2020
The FBS future layout confirmed as of now:
2018: Virginia Tech
2019: UVA
2020: Stanford
2021: UVA
2022: open
2023: UVA

2022 options based on OOC games available include Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Northwestern. All typically have FCS matchups with none as yet scheduled that year.

Betting Ms Huge is on it.

On Stanford, some may recall they had the Stanford Bowl, one of the typical football bowls built early in the century and seating 80,000+. They demolished several years ago and replaced with a beautiful 50,000 seat stadium. Beautiful facility, right on their campus. This will be a great road trip.

Nashville is a great spot but I don’t see the advantage in playing there. Not really a destination for our grads. Duke would be a better idea but I don’t believe they are open that year. Back to Cali to play Berkeley?

RE: Football at Stanford in 2020
I'm surprised Cal is allowed to have a football team. I don't think visiting that campus would be as enjoyable as Stanford or so many others, not that I don't have empathy for the homeless.

My suggestion would be Northwestern. If the idea is to expose the national brand, take it to the MIDWest. Agree that Duke would be another good pick though they appear to be stuck on MEAC FCS games now.

RE: Football at Stanford in 2020
Scheduling academic heavyweights out of conference is extremely shrewd. If I were doing it, I'd be working hard to get the three OOC games to be something like a Stanford/Duke/Vandy/etc. for the money game, Georgetown or a weak Ivy for the easy win game, and a strong Ivy for the third game.

Very impressed with the Stanford game, and happy to hear we're working with UVA long term. Those are both smart moves.

We are excited to play Stanford in 2020, but Stanford folks were saying that they should play Caltech next. They are not super happy about playing W&M because we are a FCS program.

Cal Poly is also an FCS program, in the Big Sky Conference. But, granted, they are closer and more familiar to Californians.

Wow I didn't realize that Stanford hasn't played an FCS school since 2014 and they're only scheduled to play once between now and 2020. I think that makes this game even more impressive.

Caltech is D3. Different school from Cal Poly.
