Our P5 Offensive line transfers
Anybody else surprised that neither EJ Donahue, 6'3" 308 from Maryland
http://jmusports.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=14697
or Pika Leota, 6'5" 315 from South Carolina
http://jmusports.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=14697
have cracked our two deep roster yet?

Both were ESPN 3 star guys out of high school. Both have already redshirted, so that is off the table. Just surprising to me that one or the other has not made a push for playing time. They should know the playbook by now and frankly, the right side of the line is our weak point.

Anyone got any intel on these guys?

Either eligible for redshirt? We have 3 Sr's playing this year, maybe it's a future depth thing.

RIF

(Eh, that was probably douchey of me - he mentioned the answer in his post though)

If they were part of the 10 best, they'd be in the 2 deep.

I don't think either have even dressed, which tells you plenty. Neither saw any action at their previous stops, though Pika was redshirting.

I don't believe Leota has dressed for a game. Not sure about Donahue.

I thought that might be a possibility too, but both of their bios indicate they have already used their redshirt.

Meh, I skimmed it. Anyways...

Probably just haven't been able to beat anyone out yet at this point then. Happens.

RE: Our P5 Offensive line transfers
Agreed. Pretty sure it was the Villanova game where Leota wasn't even dressed. Don't remember for sure about the other home games. If he already redshirted which appears to be the case, then it makes no sense for him to not dress even if he's 3rd/4th string unless maybe he's injured.

I am surprised, especially with all the moving parts on the right side of the line this year. The run blocking hasn't been nearly as good as last year and these guys can't even get playing time with the reserves.

The two reserve Tackles are both 275 lbs. That's why their absence jumps out at me.

My sense is that they are not as good as the 275lb guys.

The only game appearance for Donahue was the NSU game. Perhaps Leota is hurt? as he hasn't been in pads, but wears a jersey and stands on the sidelines. I do wonder why some transfers transfer.

It could be possible they both knew their scholly was going to be pulled (you know, whether you admit it or not, you know). We quite possibly offered a partial (the FBS schools cannot offer this) with the hope they show us something as they mature.

Are you speculating or have you taken a poll? Don't take me serious, you are correct. This is what message boards are for, take look at all our prediction threads.

Apparently he's had a bad day. I guess he does not like discussions on message boards.
