WE'RE NUMBER 1! WE'RE NUMBER 1! WE'RE NUMBER 1!

ECU only allowed 421 yards to BYU, but fortunately we are in such a hole that we are not likely to be caught. Tulsa would have to allow 830 yards to SMU to steal our #1 ranking. If Tulsa continues their average yards allowed, we can allow as little as 484 YPG, the next 4 games, and still be #1.
02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana

Total Defense
1. ECU 577.6 YPG
2. Tulsa 546.3
3. UCONN 543.4

We are also #1 (from the bottom) in First Downs Defense, Third Down Conversion Defense, Scoring Defense, Team Passing Efficiency Defense, Touch Downs Allowed (49), Offensive Touch Downs Allowed (46). We are #2 in Passing Yards Allowed and Team Tackles for Loss.

Our goals clearly need to be:
1. Win the next 4
2. Finish 6-6, go to a bowl
3. Preserve our #1 Total Defense Ranking

Not quite top 5, but USF is #7 in rushing yards per game at 305.1 per game. The top 6 include the 4 triple option teams, Navy, Army, Air Force, and Georgia Tech, along with Arizona and Notre Dame. So, in true reality, USF is #3 in the nation in rushing among teams that are not true option teams.

Glad to see Trey Quinn is balling at SMU. We were excited for him at LSU and he had a decent start. He had two huge drops of well-thrown balls against Alabama which prevented us from running out the clock for the win. We ended up losing the game and he never seemed to recover from that while at LSU. I figured it was just a rut, and whoever picked him up would make better use of him. Sure enough, Chad Morris has.

Will be fun to see him play UCF in a few weeks.

What happened to UConn's defense? I thought that was the one thing they were kind of good at? Of course they dominated us for 3 quarters so there's that.

That question is ridiculous.
