AUSTIN SPURS SELECT TUCKER HAYMOND IN THE 2017 NBA G LEAGUE DRAFT

AUSTIN, TX (Oct. 21, 2017) – The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, selected guard Tucker Haymond as their first pick (Round Two, 37th overall) in Saturday’s 2017 NBA G League Draft. Haymond (6-6, 213) played four seasons at Western Michigan averaging 12.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 123 games played (113 starts).

Austin also selected Anthony Beane (Round Three, 63rd overall) and Cory Allen (Round Four, 89th overall) in the G League’s four round selection process.

“We are excited about our draft and looking forward to bringing everyone to camp,” said Austin Spurs Head Coach Blake Ahearn. “It’s an exciting time and we are ready to get things started.”
