It seems I am living the movie Groundhog Day. I suffer the Bearcats on Saturday and the Browns on Sunday. Today even included an OT loss. It did make the drive home go quickly.
The Bearcats and Browns both lead their leagues in stupid. At least with the Browns the turnover machine gets benched. IMO there should be consequences for our turnover machine. Both Kizer and Moore seem to lose their brains at critical times. One more loss and I would bench Moore to test Trail for 2018.

Eh in Kizer's case, he's playing at a new level. I really don't think they're comparable. If the Bearcats were as bad as Cleveland for as long as Cleveland has been bad; I'd have a hard time caring anymore.
I'm not losing my **** for that very reason. There'll be a time where we're thriving again, the Browns on the other hand....

At least the Bearcats haven't passed up recruiting the NCAA level equivalents of Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson in consecutive years.

Relax, those aren't the real Browns. The real Browns franchise is now in Baltimore and has won two Super Bowls after escaping that rat hole.

I am with you. I was thinking the exact same thing, however, I think both teams are on the upswing.

Perhaps my biggest surprise and late recognition/DISAPPOINTMENT is that so many of my fellow UC fans THINK UC ends at I 275. If UC is bounded by I 275 it will never be what true bearcats want and believe UC both is and can be. Want AAC – think I 275. Want more forget I 275. Wanna be Cleveland State – think I 275.

Geez Louise guys. It's hard enough dealing with back to back poor seasons with the Bearcats and you have to bring up the Browns. For UC to become anywhere in the stratosphere of that mess is to become worse than the equivalent of (current) Kansas football for 18 seasons. It won't happen thank the Lord in Heaven.
If you want a comparison - both are in desperate need of finding a serviceable QB.

I was just feeling sorry for myself (and many others here) as a UC/Reds/Bengals fan. Thanks for reminding me that things could always be worse. I genuinely feel a little better after this thread.

Yeah, Cleveland fans don't really have the right to complain about the Browns any more
If anything, I think the Bengals are more heartbreaking because the talent and hope is there every year

The real thrust of my question is what consequences are appropriate for repeated reckless lack of game situation awareness. We had to at least get off a kick attempt.

RE: Consequences
Hayden Moore is a tough one to figure out. He'll constantly lock in on one WR, make bone-headed decisions in the red zone, and consistently fail to read (or adjust to) incoming blitz packages.
But then he'll lead you down the field, throw a great touchdown pass and make the right decision on the game-tying 2 pt conversion. He does just enough to make you think he's turning the corner, and then makes a catastrophic mistake. 1 step forward...2 steps back.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Hayden starting vs Tulane. This coaching staff clearly seems to think he is the best QB option. Both the staff and Hayden have had a tough learning curve.

Everybody with sense knew that Kizer needed a redshirt year, so I'm not surprised. What is nutty is how Hue (a guy who let players work out of slumps all the time down here) is suddenly Captain Hook and coaching like a guy desperately trying to keep his job instead of cultivating a team and culture

Having a record of 1-22 tends to do that...

If the Browns were to have hired me 2 years ago...I likely would have only lost one more game than Hue.
