Blueprint? I'll admit I didn't watch the game but FAU ran up nearly 70 points and over 800 yards. Was there some secret key to NT that Kiffin found that USM and UTSA didn't? Seems like the Owls just boatraced em like they did ODU and MT. It's not like piling up 400+ yards on the ground and just try to stop us is a game plan.

That said, we can beat them but we'll be underdogs and wouldn't be surprised if they took out some frustration.

I think they can. You never know these days.

To answer the question... Yes, if last night's North Texas team shows up next Saturday. But, I don't think that will be the case.

Obviously anyone can beat NT, but hopefully NT will make it a lot more difficult than the FAU slaughter.

Yes. Snapping the ball and getting lined up as quick as possible and run the ball down their damn throat.

FAU treated UNT worse than Linda Lovelace during a long day at work.

Mix in some quick passes (something the ODU qb is decent at) and run run run

Running FAU's offense and getting plays in that quick is a philosophy and while some teams may try to work it in, you have to practice a lot and get your players conditioned to run it.

I hired a personal trainer about 5 weeks ago and I can personally attest to getting tired after 2-3 minutes of high intense non stop movement. Take that and multiply by 20 and it's easy to see why FAU is boat racing teams. Defenses are gonna get tired real quick trying to stop FAU.

As for ODU, they have some fight left in them and UNT will be reeling. I think it's gonna be a close one.

Of course they are! Wth would they not be?? You really think players are going through practice this week worrying about ODU/UNT? That's absolutely ridiculous.

If the Monarchs hire Kiffin, maybe. I have a feeling that ODU put all of its effort into the WKU game, and should have won. The disappointment of losing on a bad call and a rare fumble may just crush their spirit. We haven't played well on the road either. I hope Im wrong, but I don't see ODU staying within 2 TDs. The Monarchs best bet this season is hoping for the miracle 4 game winning streak to end the season. However, IF the Monarchs beat the Green somehow, we're right back in the hunt for a bowl.

Can ODU win? Yes. Will ODU win? Not very likely if the Def Coordinator refuses to stack the box on obvious running plays and also keeps the corner backs a mile off the line. Williams throwing into double and triple coverage doesn't help either.

As I wrote before the NT/UAB game, NT can beat anyone remaining on their schedule IF they bring their best game and the can lose to anyone remaining if they don't. That still stands.

With the team less than two years removed from 1-11, the fact we have a very good chance at 6-6 and a shot at 7-5 (or even better) is incredible.

FAU was able to match the offensive energy that defines North Texas, and eventually, overwhelm them with a taste of their own medicine. If ODU can do this, then I'll give them a shot.
