Exclamation Neal Brown to make $800K, nearly $1.3mil total
USA Today report shows that when Neal Brown's contract was renegotiated and given an extension in the off-season, he was given a raise in his base salary from $660,000 to $800,000.

Including potential bonuses ($490,000), his maximum salary reaches $1.3 million. This just about matches Mark Hudspeth for the highest maximum salary in the Sun Belt.

Neal Brown has a $2.9 million school buyout, which is by far the highest in the Sun Belt. The next highest buyout is $1.7 million for Scott Satterfield.

All Troy assistants and coordinators were given two-year extensions as well.

$100k-$250k of the potential bonus is probably for winning the National Championship.

That buy out could deter some programs in AAC and lower level of some others. Not exactly chump change for lower tear programs

The USA Today buyouts that you are citing in your post - those are the buyouts if the schools were to terminate Neal Brown and Scott Satterfield as of 12/1/17.

I have no knowledge as to what either would owe Troy or App State if they were to leave for another job. That figure is most likely different.

Blake Anderson would owe Arkansas State $2,000,000 if he were to leave after this season. It drops down to $1,000,000 if he leaves after the 2018 season.

Thanks for the clarification. Fixed.
