Second-string Kicker (will not put his name in thread title)
Ratke, a rFR, was pretty good yesterday. He made a 40 yarder and had a lot to spare it appeared, looked like it hit the top half of the net. Anyway, what happened to TG? Is the injury serious? Looked like he pulled something on a kick off.

Houston said it was a hip strain and should only be a temporary problem, but didn't say how long he might be out.

Maybe Gray could use one of those ECU Scholarhips.

Agreed it had some serious 50 + yard look to it.

I did notice Ratke was stretching a lot during the game. He had more kicks in a short period of time than he had in a couple of months and I worried that he was going to pull something too.

Tyler was on the sidelines in a grey jump suit during the second half and was hanging with Ratke, and "coaching" him it appeared.

Guess Ratke got to sleep indoors last night!!

Great kicking from him after coming in for TG. Hope he is OK. Looked like he slipped or his cleats got caught in the field on that kickoff when he hurt himself.

Did he kick it fat and drive his foot into the ground? The ball didn’t go far.
Kind of like me hitting a Pitching wedge about 2 inches behind the ball at least once in every round of golf in my life.

Relax that right hand and arm a bit and let the club do the work...

Put at least 2/3 of your weight on the forward foot to eliminate fat wedges.

When you hit a drive as far as Hart does, one fat pitching wedge a round won't hurt you! He can flat out knock the cover off the ball.
