I think "we" are good again
With WMU's struggles and their QB dying today, it's hard to see this team finishing any worse than 9-3. 10-2 and a trip to Detroit is a real possibility.
At this point last year, "we" were 1-6. Everyone in the program, players and coaches, deserve a lot of credit.
We're back.

Even the announcers talked about this. They actually believe we would be a tough team to beat even for Toledo

He's been very quiet. Maybe he's worried his beloved Toledo will have their hands full when the Huskies come to town.

RE: I think "we" are good again
That was a real bad team that "we" played today, but there were some big positives:
1. Childers looked awesome, minus that bad fumble at the end, he was hitting his crossing routes and sideline throws. Didn't throw too many deep balls, didn't hit on any either, but that's okay.
2. Mister and Jones ran all over the place, even Harbison and Milton looked good. that's probably a lot to do with BGSU, but if anything it gives the O-line and the RBs some major confidence.
3. The defense was awesome, BGSU got a lot of junk yards and points at the end, but the first team defense was DOMINATE.
4. HAGAN!
5. Carey went for it on fourth down and short inside the 35. He needs to always be doing that.
With all this said in the end we beat a very very bad team. So, if we can show the same offensive strides that we saw today vs EMU then I think Toledo may be much more nervous come November 2nd. I expect the Defense to make EMU look silly.

I have liked Milton since I saw him at the spring game a couple years ago. I wish he could be used more. He's quick and elusive.

RE: I think "we" are good again
plenty to be happy about....but that wasn't a very good team we played. Childers impressed more with his poise than anything else. That's very reassuring. It comes down to beating Toledo. One game and its MACC.
As pleased as I am with Childers today, I will be uneasy all season just because a frosh QB scares me to death.

I think "we" beat one of the worst teams in FBS. It was absolutely a good win, but will hold judgement until after this weeks game

I was thinking about 8 wins for the first time today. I won't dare think any more, I'm superstitious.

RE: I think "we" are good again
I liked what I saw today and am not so down on Childers as I was last week. He still can't throw deep though and needs to not throw into double coverage. Let's hope the drops don't carry over to next week.

Need to shore up some of that run defense. Teams like to pick on Embry.
Pretty happy with the offense. I saw some of the EMU game.
EMU QB has a big brace on his right leg. Don't picture him being very mobile.
One more then the showdown.

I loved that they finally went with Orne to kickoff.
We actually had a few touchbacks.

Childers will never be a pocket passer, deep thrower. They designed lanes for him to throw into, literally cleared the lanes, and he did some down and outs. Combined with his run threat, that's enuf to keep defenses off balance.

They're 5-2 now and their only losses were 1 play games against one of the best teams in the group of 5 and what looks like a pretty decent Boston College team.
I'm not sure what else you need to see.

We gave up twice as many rushing yards today as our per game average. We look susceptible to running QBs.
Are teams picking on Embry or throwing away from Lurry?
EMUs QB (Roback) is not a runner at all; here is his stats
http://www.espn.com/college-football/pla...gan-roback
He has 9 TDs and 7 picks this year; our DBs should be licking their chops!

RE: I think "we" are good again
I was standing outside our locker room as the team was coming out for pre game warm ups at Nebraska. They had a look in their eye and a swagger in their step. I knew we were back then.
