RE: Bebe NFL Chances of Getting Drafted
Let's revisit pro potential after MAC West play is complete - I believe Bebe is key to NIU winning MACC this year as he and Childers have a special chemistry.

It takes more than that. His father had world class speed chad does not. I’m not going to say he doesn’t make it but if I had to bet on it I would bet he doesn’t even get a tryout. I’m just hoping he stays healthy for the rest of the season.

They were MAC employees who ESPN contracted for, for the game. The analyst was better than the play by play guy

The play-by-play guy was Michael Reghi. Reghi is a dinosaur for sure. But, he's a long-time MAC announcer and knows the game. Reghi can at least pronounce the players' names correctly and does a reasonable job of the calling the game.

Check out the quote below from a fellow Dog Pounder who was on the road and could only listen on the radio. I had texted him about the phenomenal play by Sutton Smith

Quote:I'm listening to Bill Baker's call... so I almost know what happened

I like listening to Reghi, he's all MAC and wears his MAC crown proudly.

He will get an opportunity based on his dads relationships in the NFL. Also if he has a good pro day, but I can’t see someone actually drafting a player that’s had as many injuries as he’s had in his young career. Nobody is doubting his toughness, heart, and skill set.

You made my point better than I could. I think he could be a post draft FA.

Beebe needs to go back to his dad's House of Speed. He has great instincts and great hands but as we saw on his touchdown, he was run down by someone he had at least five yard head start on.

It was funny listening to Reghi, every player on the field was one of the best he had ever seen. I did enjoy his many comments about the nationally ranked NIU defense.

Let's not forget he just came off 5 weeks of doing nothing due to injury. It will take him time to get back into shape. Plus, for his position possibly in the NFL, it would not require flat out speed. The slot receiver just needs to get open by his quickness and know how. There are many NFL slot receivers that don't have world class speed. But I do agree with most here that he will be a long shot. But he's always been a long shot if you saw him in person. In seeing what he has accomplished so far, I think he likes those odds.
