RE: Toughest remaining oppenent?
Elon sits at 7-1 but has a -6 scoring differential as every win has been by a single possession. They find ways to win games but I don't see how their offense does anything against our D without the starting RB (Summers). Their defense isn't statistically good.
Richmond is one sided (offense) and that is one sided (passing). With such a limited array of tools, I don't see how they will be "tough." They might put up some points but I see Jimmy, Brown and Robinson adding a couple (maybe 3) INTs by the end of the game.
So with my vote behind us (UNH), I guess I'll jump on the "we are our own toughest opponent" but I don't think MH will let the mental game become an opponent.

RE: Toughest remaining oppenent?
Is UR now at a point where their back up may do more to boost their offensive productivity than Lauletta? Remember Kevin Johnson came into the playoffs last year and had two outstanding games against NC A&T and North Dakota before laying an egg and being shut out against a bad Eastern Washington defense. That UR shut out is still a head scratcher considering YSU moved the ball easily on them the following week and I wouldn't say they're significantly more talented.
Nobody tell Huesman to start Johnson, he may be the spark they need as a mobile QB.

Probably jinx it by saying anything, so we'll face Johnson and he'll throw for 600 and run for 200 (not that I really think this will happen). BUT, my sense is that UR had hoped to a) be in contention this year for something (somewhat in doubt at the moment), and b) absent injury to Lauretta in the context of a) keeping the red shirt on Johnson this year.

I think we had a sort moment of losing focus against Maine. We had a much longer lapse last year against UNH and to a certain extent against W&M. We have proven we come ready to play each week, occasionally we'll lose that focus as the game progresses.
Listen to the locker room speech that's out there from Saturday. You don't need to worry about anyone relaxing during the game. We did not lose focus on Saturday and you won't see them lose focus against Rhode Island. These guys are really locked in and ready to roll. Rhode Island, like Elon, is much improved, but that's like moving from vocational English to college prep English in high school. You may have been smarter than the vocational kids in the class but when you move up, you are back to being a bit behind. The Elon performance against Nova impressed me because of how they handled the defense but they practice against that scheme every day. Rhode Island did not impress me with win at Albany. When you play us, it's a different level of speed and intensity and we have not had a team match it other than UNC and UR for most of the game last year. Once the defense kicked into gear at Nova, turn our the lights, the party's over.
Regarding the bold, not sure where that came from? Did someone insinuate/state we lost focus this past Saturday? I thought we controlled the game throughout, did we not?
