Yes, it is about the dumbest post I have read on this board.

13 starters have missed time this year... five for the rest of the season, and you are jumping on the defense?!! Pathetic 03-puke

Yup. Our decimated remains of a defense managed to make a few nice stops and forced a turnover to seal one of the most miraculous comebacks in Tiger football history, yet we have some posters who feel they are warranted to take cheap shots at the coaching staff for allowing a very solid Houston team to move the ball throughout most of the game. 03-lmfao

We don't have a great defense. But we are 6-1, ranked the 25th team in the nation. About to move up. Enjoy it. 2nd game in a row where the D has ended the game with a play and a win. Confidence is contagious....

Just to point out, that is ridiculous. Full of absolute crap! And you ignore everything that the defense has accomplished. This is our 6th top 40 ranked offense we have played this season and we've played 3 top 15. The only one that isn't ranked in the top 40 is because they are FCS. They were 5th in FCS when we played them.

Don't mention that half our starters are out for the season. Don't mention that we've had 9 more players miss most of a game or all of one or multiple games. Don't mention that we've now had 3 true freshmen start and 10 redshirt freshmen or transfers play.

Don't let facts get in the way and keep being ridiculous.

Maybe it would be a "cheapshot" if it were one game, but feel free to go back over ever single game and see how our defense has held up. Matter of fact, why don't you come back to this same thread with a total of points scored against us in each game.

Yep, you are right. Offense just needs to score 42 points to ensure it.

10 of those points are on the offense

Don’t try to reason with his dumb ass

I wonder if he likes being called that? I doubt it.

Just keep in mind this is the same guy who thought Larry Porter was the greatest coach in the history of the NCAA and took a few year hiatus to support Middle Tennessee State because we fired Larry "the greatest coach in the history of the NCAA" Porter.

Yes

BY the way I was answering yes to the title of his thread, his question was/is “Am I overreacting by saying.... I answered yes to that question not yes to firing the coaches.

Considering the injuries and suspensions we've had to our first team defense, I'm pretty dang proud with the way they're fighting. Our defense will be solid for the next couple years.

Once again, with a healthy defense that hadn't lost half of the starting team and a full group of backups for various times throughout the season, you have a point.

HOWEVER, since you DON'T take anything else into consideration, it makes your point null and feckless. Our defense held Navy under its rushing average and scoring average, even after turning it over inside our 10.
Tonight we turned it over twice in the first half leading to 10 of their 17 points. Went 3 and out multiple times and kept them on the field the majority of the half... and they still held them to 21 in the second half, forced multiple turnovers, the game winning punt and WON THE DAMN GAME!!!!!
Do you care to list all the games we have won this season!???!

Ok, first look at the time of this thread... Second. I have defended the defense most of the season because of factors. Just recently, at a material store, there was a father of a player on the team talking about how bad the defense was and I even defended them to him, but when every single game it becomes a shoot-out, it becomes harder and harder to defend, but OK. To all of you, OUR DEFENSE IS THE GREATEST DEFENSE EVER AND NO TEAM WILL EVER HAVE A DEFENSE AS GOOD AS OURS!!!!!!! Sorry I made this thread, I apologize to everyone especially our number 1 defense in the history of the world.

After the greatest (by point spread) comeback in Tiger FB history & we have one of the resident antagonists dogging our team. Give your constant negativism a rest for once while we enjoy a great win. You are no fan by any definition.

Go Tigers, GREAT TEAM WIN!!!

Where did I say we have a good defense? I've been complaining about them all year. But I also understand that we are badly depleted so for them to play as well as they have in the last two games is just about miraculous. Also, I don't think you pin the defense on coaches who don't really have a say in recruiting when the head coach is an ex OC and offense oriented. He needs to focus more on recruiting defensive players next year for sure although Carter and Hall were excellent signings. I also think the DC drew up a defensive scheme for Navy that was nothing short of brilliant.

And I quit smoking the ganja long ago.
